Just finished watching. I think it’s my favorite Christmas special after the one in Africa.

I loved it.  This is one of the few shows, IMO, that really just nail each season/special.

I caught it with about 15 mins left so I didn't watch. Now I can't find it at all in Upcoming or Available episodes. Can anyone share how you are watching it after it aired?

Wonderful special! We are still quoting it. DH saw only part due to work, but he loved what he was present for.

I loved watching Timothy’s face for the various medical scenes. He’s been reading the Lancet and hearing medical chatter forever, but his foray into seeing it firsthand shows the gap between the abstract and concrete with every look on his face!

It was wonderful to see the nurses, nuns, and midwives again.

It was just as sweet as always. I'm really not one for this sort of sentimental sort of stuff very often, but somehow Call the Midwife gets me every time and I can't find any fault with it. It was lovely to see Lucile's wedding.

I am a complete sucker for this show too.  Always an emotional roller coaster!  I feel like I need to wring myself out after I watch it.  I loved it!  ❤️

Its the only show where I cry or at least tear up EVERY SINGLE episode -even on rewatch!!!

There is a Christmas special every year. This episode is new, but there was one last year and the year before and so on.

It made me want to buy a copy of Christmas Carol, in hard cover, to read to the kids. I do have copies, but maybe a cool looking copy for Christmas. I was in awe at the end of the show where the little children just sat there, loving the story and listening!

I would sit in awe to watch Miriam Margolyes read almost anything!

I thought the regular season episodes were released in the UK before the US, in which case I’ve seen them all, But maybe the Christmas special is released simultaneously. In which case I have a treat in store 😉. Though. Some of their prior Christmas specials were very dark.

Christmas special IS released on Christmas Day in both locations.

I think this has only been for 2020 and 2021, but maybe I missed it in previous years. I've really enjoyed seeing in on Christmas!

I really enjoyed reading the books this series was made from; even though I recognized several of the stories, the non-fiction book version was fascinating and well-written, IMO. 

(I also loved the Christmas special, and wish I knew Lucille IRL. ❤️ )

I know. I don’t think hunk it’s been aired in the US on Christmas day other than 2020 and 2021. I think we had to wait a few weeks.

There was one episode that aired around New Year’s Day.  Otherwise, most have been on Christmas.

I know for sure it was Christmas Day in 2019 and 2015 - because I watched it at inlaws house while on Christmas vacation there both years.

This one is not as dark as some of the others.
