Taking a package from his porch.

Now it was my package and it was misdelivered to his porch. I rang the doorbell and waited, no answer, so I waved and held up the package and said "hey this is mine! I live next door!" And pointed at my house and waved to the camera.

I got a delivery notification and the item was nowhere to be found so I check both neighbors houses.... and now I'm a porch pirate!

So weird! I know that my nextdoor neighbors have cameras because they have mentioned catching my cats on camera.😬 I’m pretty sure they’d tell us if they were a problem.

That’s funny!
In years past, our mail and packages were constantly misdelivered. One time I complained to Amazon, received a repeaT of my entire order, and then received the first order from my neighbor.

One time a package showed it was delivered on the tracking but we did not have it.  There is a house that is almost identical to ours with one number off, so we assumed it was there and they would either bring it to us or send it back.  The renters are college students and nothing happened so dh went up there to ask.  He knocked and no one came.  There was no evidence anyone had been on the front enclosed porch for some time and the package was just sitting there.  So, he took it.  It probably would have sat there all semester had he not gone up there.  I'm not sure that was the right thing to do but it resolved the problem with no waste so I am calling it good.
