lynn Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Loves getting a Lego advent calendar. I'm holding on to that last string of childhood as long as I can 20 Quote
alisoncooks Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 I’m all for that! My almost-16 year old is getting a Pokémon stuffie. 3 Quote
Jaybee Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 My almost 21yo asked for a fun lego set "for fun and relaxation." It's been quite a few years, but he's been looking at the adult sets, most of which are way too expensive. But he will get the Taj Mahal. 4 Quote
Dmmetler Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 My just turned 17 yr old college kid got a fidget toys advent calendar (Late November birthdays assure you’ll get an advent calendar or two each year) and a Build a Bear T-Rex skeleton last week :). Of course, one of the activities at first year orientation this fall was decorating t-shirts for stuffed Scottie dogs 🙂 3 Quote
Arcadia Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 (edited) @Jaybee My area has an active AFOL (adults fans of LEGO) group which is a subset of the region’s lego group. The Lego stores nearby have AFOL events. Edited December 1, 2021 by Arcadia Corrected for AFOL 5 Quote

AFOL should be adult fans of LEGO, my mistake Legoland Discovery Center has adult only nights as well. Bricks by the Bay event (SF Bay Area) is also very popular here. 2 Quote
Dmmetler Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 BrickFair is a big AFOL conference. There are usually several regional ones each year. Many cons have Lego components as well. 1 Quote
Lady Florida. Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 We bought two - one for each grandson. Ds 24 looked longingly at them and I jokingly asked if he wanted one. He said in all seriousness, "Well, I wouldn't turn one down". My niece's husband saved all his childhood Legos in hopes of one day having a child who loved Lego. All three of his kids love them. When he and my niece were dating and ds was young, he would always build with him when they came for a visit. I don't think Lego lovers ever outgrow the love of building with those colorful bricks! 1 Quote
