Good morning!

I have dropped Ds at school and am just finishing b’fast and coffee.

Three students today: two in zoom and one in person. ✔️

Kids to piano and church later today. ✔️

Hope to get some AHG things done after my students and before we leave for piano. Nope

Howdie, happy December!  I'm not ready for December!

I really need to make a to-do list for December.  Maybe I'll add a preliminary December list to the end of this post.

Today, done:

  • Laundry in the wee hours.
  • Looking for kid's Invisalign in the wee hours - flashlight, car, driveway ... only to discover it was in her bedroom all along ....
  • Slept several hours.
  • Kids up.
  • Took out the garbage.
  • Kids to school on time, yay!
  • Walked the pup.  Took another tumble.  Need to get back to daily balance yoga exercises!
  • Forgot and had to reschedule my chiro appointment, boo!
  • Some house cleaning.
  • A little reading.
  • A little exercise.
  • A little client work.
  • Caught up on emails, news, social media, calendar, and electronic school stuff.
  • Checked most recent CPE log.
  • Made a preliminary December to-do list, see below.

To do today:

  • Lots more client work.
  • Make and communicate a plan for returning Kid1's sports uniforms, making donation, and picking up "awards."
  • Complete an order for a replacement pup tag, since our pup ate one that was made of silicon (the one with his microchip stuff on it).  Need my wallet which is currently in my car.
  • Some more calendar updates.
  • Update my gratitude journal stuff from the 30 days of gratitude posts elsewhere on WTM.
  • More housework.
  • Get the laundry up to date??
  • Shower with a hair wash.
  • Some reading.
  • Whatever else gets done.

December to-dos:

  • Mega work application(s) due early January.
  • Lots of other work deadlines, esp. providing pre-year-end accounting and compliance projections for several dozen entities, and making time-sensitive year-end cash transfers.
  • About 70 hours of continuing professional education - find courses, register, participate, document.
  • After CPE is all done, renew my CPA license.
  • Niece's birthday gifts & getting boxes of hand-me-downs for nieces to my sister.
  • Assemble my tailbone-friendly chair that I bought myself.
  • Install a replacement light fixture and bathroom fan.  Also replace my closet doors?
  • Prepare for booked travel trip.
    • Print out visas and compile all travel documents and don't forget to include these when packing!
    • Research Covid-related requirements re testing before travel etc.  Timeline may be very tricky.
    • Covid testing - plan, book, test, document.
    • Get all the pup stuff ready for a couple weeks at friend's house.
      • Ensure vet weigh-in is done & flea/tick and worm meds are given, nails clipped, etc. prior to trip.
      • Fresh and dry food, electronic collar with charger, leashes, toys, dishes, crate, etc.
      • Was thinking Kid2 should bake puppy Christmas cookies for all of the friend boarder's dogs - I have a recipe ....
      • Drive pup and all his stuff out to friend boarder's house.
    • Packing etc.  Pack all work and school stuff electronically in case we get stuck somewhere.
    • Drive 6 hours to the city we're taking off from.
    • Airport stuff etc.
  • Kid2 has a friend hangout (at our house) coming up.  (Pup will have a sleepover at friend boarder's house on this day.)
  • Kid1 and I have a 5K coming up.
  • Kid2 has a Christmas horse exhibition coming up.
  • Haircuts.
  • Prepare for an early home Christmas.
    • Still have a few gifts left to order / pick up.
    • Mail Christmas cards.
    • Deliver to my folks' house:  extended family gifts (wrapped / gift bagged), and cards that can't/won't be mailed.
    • Was also thinking of ordering something yummy and fun to be delivered to the folks.
    • Figure out what we're doing for a tree, considering we don't know what our pup will think of it.
    • Wrap and do Christmas.
    • Tuck away some small surprises to be packed and given on actual Christmas.
    • Whatever Christmas movies etc. we manage to do/see.
  • Order kid2's birthday stuff for early January.
  • Make plans for new year's celebration???
  • Make plans for kids' friend get-together after our travels?
  • Christmas season church - the kids would like to make it to at least one service, but I'm not sure with a trip coming up.  At least we'll watch them online.
  • Make year-end annual donations.
  • Whatever I'm forgetting.
  • The usual stuff, like keeping up the laundry, housework, pup stuff, kids' school stuff, health stuff, reading, exercise, etc. etc.

Good morning! Still having a very rough time and I didn't do hardly anything yesterday that should have aggravated not only the sciatica which was harder to control than when I had a rougher day but also muscles are stiff, etc.  Woke up at around 2;45, needing to go to the bathroom and in severe pain- if I had tried to walk, it would have been a 10/10,  Fortunately, dh woke up and offered help and brought me water to drink and got the little Vera Wang Box I use for as needed meds or to transport some meds to places outside my kitchen- like going out to dinner or even taking it to my desk.  Was able to ambulate by 4.  Did my INR testing that I had forgotten to do last night- I should do them the night before or before 9am,  Wished dsil2 a Happy Birthday.  Went back to bed at 6am after taking Percocet again.  Then slept until 7:40am.

Done

INR test- 2 four test strips

Chopped medications

Took morning meds

Got Access client number and then tried unsuccessfully sign up for Amble- the app our city uses to order Access or find out when buses will arrive (for normal busses, etc)  But there is a good reason the app has a 2* rating.  I gave  it 1*

Got message from Coumadin Clinic as to how much to take this week and when to test again

Scheduled PT evaluation and also called Sportsmed and left message for PA that I need a new PT order form because it should include aquatic due to my severe pain

Enjoyed Quarantine Book Club

Called and Left message for allergist to renew my Dupixent

To Do

Call Metlife about why my dh\s dental claim has a patient responsibility of $0.01

Get onto website of our FAFSA and find out how much we have left

Call Dentist office and pay any outstanding bills

Maybe take a shower

Eat lunch

Call my primary care and make an appointment

Call home health agency and get appointments set up for OT and LPN { Ot person is supposedly coming today but she hasn't called so office is sending her a message to call me)

Finish book today

Continue with Christmas Cards

Chronic Illness Support Group

New Item-Ds is coming over for final rent/lease breakage fees that I just wrote a check for

I did a couple hours of training while simultaneously accomplishing a variety of relatively mundane tasks.

Need to go pick up the kids soon.

@TravelingChris Wow! Your list beats SKL!!

Did my first exam for criminal law, ugh, 79. I was confusing myself and getting all panicked...Le sigh. Hopefully my paper will be enough to get me an A, don't know though because I have another exam that's just 30 questions in 30 minutes that proves my knowledge of the class... Did I mention that I'm not a good test taker?

Got the ingredients for dd to make dinner

She's also going to help me with my PowerPoint stuff before she leaves to go visit Grandma this weekend

And I got out the decorations to decorate outside

I am sorry you are not a good test taker.  Are you in law school?  Or what kind of program?  I am not a lawyer anywhere but have a criminology masters and all doctorate coursework and two of the four tests but no dissertation.  If you need any assistance, pm me and maybe we can figure out when I could help you.  No charge, of course.

No... I graduate next semester with an AS in criminal justice, then I'm transferring to the university, where they promised me they would count all of my classes, and I should be about a year year and a half out from getting my bachelor's of science in criminal justice. Was going to go to law school but I'm not sure I keep getting older and older lol.

Thank you!

Kid1 is home on pup duty, kid2 is at horse riding.

The soccer uniforms have been exchanged for the "award" certificates.  (Nothing exciting - just a participation cert and a "scholar athlete" award for having a good GPA.

The lawn guys did not come.  Now that I think about it, maybe they don't come after November ....  It will be nice to have one less thing for my pup to bark about for a few months.  😛  Oh, but now we'll have snow plowing instead ....

@SKL, that list is daunting. You always seem to accomplish so much, though, so I'm sure you've got this!

My dad went to a neurologist appointment to today, and the PA is still thinking he has Parkinson's. She wants to work him off one medicine to try him on a carb-levo medicine. My sister went with him to the appointment. I've got plans to be out of town later next week when he'll need to start, so he'll go to her house. They said it can cause dizziness, so it would be better for him to be with one of us.

I'm glad it has emerged this late since he's 84. I wonder about my sister and I since we both have the familial tremor that he has had for years.

Finished all my classes and did an extra Zoom session with a friend's son who needed help with physics.

Dh is at practice, and dinner is in the crockpot and just about ready.

A load of laundry is going, and I've placed a few more small Christmas decorations.

To Do

Call Metlife about why my dh\s dental claim has a patient responsibility of $0.01    I made a mistake, it was actually 1.00 but the EOB stated it was 100% instead of stating that it was 98%,  I talked with the supervisor to explain how idiotic their EOB is and how they need to change it

Get onto website of our FAFSA and find out how much we have left

Call Dentist office and pay any outstanding bills  Tomorrow

Maybe take a shower Hopefully either tonight or tomorrow morning.  I want a long shower.

Eat lunch

Call my primary care and make an appointment

Call home health agency and get appointments set up for OT and LPN { Ot person is supposedly coming today but she hasn't called so office is sending her a message to call me) I had found out at 4 by calling that she wasn't coming today.

Kids are in bed but still awake, dh is in our room watching TV. I'm so glad I'm getting alone time.

Going to read on my tablet.
