Good morning!

I stayed up late waiting on the medicine to help my reflux, so I didn't get enough sleep. But on with the day anyway. I miss being able to have caffeine to help mask the tiredness!

  • breakfast and lunch for dh
  • devotion and write scripture
  • meals for me and dinner for us
  • 5 Zoom sessions
  • pay bills and update checking
  • figure out when I'm grocery shopping this week
  • tidy house
  • watch more of the Maid series
  • relax and try to get to sleep early

@mom31257 Sorry about the lack of sleep

@ScoutTN It was always hard to get back to the schedule after breaks!

Today:

  • Drive 3 hours to moms
  • Write caregiver check and put up on board in case she comes by
  • Call home health and ask WHEN they are coming ( schedule) and that her pills are not filled. ( May be because of Thanksgiving Holiday, but what if I wasn't here. Whole point of home health. GRRR
  • Call mom's financial planner to send forms
  • Have mom show me how she pays her credit cards
  • Call her bank to ask how to get my name on her account
  • Call the oncology nurse to ask about timing of Covid shot
  • Schedule Covid booster
  • Go to Albertsons
  • Cook quesadillas for lunch
  • Make primary care appointment for stepfather
  • Call long term care insurance to have them send us forms
  • FINISH THE ROUGH DRAFT OF MY PAPER DUE WEDNESDAY
  • Read over and prepare for exit interview for internship tomorrow

Unlike you, ScoutTN,  I am so glad that Thanksgiving week is over.  I can start getting real help with this post surgery journey. Not sure how long I slept because of a personal disaster.  My stomach is delaying digedtion.  Dh woke me up at midnight and that went well.  Than at 2:09, I felt like my pain meds were working and I needed to go to pthe restroom.  Unfortunately, I was too tired to remember how to get safely off the bed.  I ended up getting a bad spasm in my left leg, screamed, had to have dh get me back on the bed, give a very short massage which did stop the spasm, then help me up again.  But the nerve pain was so bad and I didn't want to wake dh again, so I ended up trying to lean on my rollator and wait till 4 and next med to move.  That was a disaster.

To do

Finish breakfast

Finish taking morning meds

Get dressed

Get ready for trip

Go to transit office to find out if I have been approved gor handiAccess bus znd if so, buy tickets

Go to my orthopedist appointment.

I already received an Amazon order I placed last night!  Included was a new electronic pup training collar.  This one doesn't shock and doesn't have prongs.  I've started to charge it and read the basic instructions.  Hopefully this will help with the barking spirals, and we can save the shock collar for when there's a danger of biting.

I also washed the dishes and did some more client work.

Working on coffee 2.

@TravelingChris hope you don't mind, but I started a prayer chain for good health and healing with my prayer warriors. They are amazing women, just like y'all!

Dgd came to visit, she can count to ten!! Dil and I had a pleasant quick visit.

Rewrapped and wrapped bday gifts for my neighbor and her daughter. I'm slightly obsessive.

Get cleaned up after dh finishes his lunch nap, get going on chores. Must walk tonight.

@TravelingChris, I am so sorry you are dealing with such pain! Praying for relief!

@Condessa, welcome to the tackle thread!

@history-fan, so is your hubby's birthday close to Christmas? Mine is, and I'm always trying to decide which gifts to give for which day.

I'm done with my 5 classes today.

I was contacted by a lady I haven't seen or heard from in 10-12 years. She is pulling one kid from public school to homeschool through Liberty. She might want me to help keep things organized and help her dd because she works full-time. She thinks she'll enroll her middle school son next year. I'm glad to possibly be getting some extra work and money!

No his bday is in the first week of Feb. But he wants the same thing every year; sweatpants, slippers and socks. I have tried other gifts but he always returns them or puts it away and never uses whatever it was. So when all these sales are going on I get the bday gifts he wants and just wait till his bday.

I need Chipotle night!

I ended up ordering something, I'm just too lazy to make myself something healthy. It's cold so I need to layer up for my walk....I'm feeling kind of lazy tonight, I had tummy issues all day.

Folded and put away a load of kitchen linens.

Reserved a bunch of Christmas books from the library. Ordered one from Amazon, a replacement for one that got ruined.

Read Holly and Ivy with Dd.

Next up: reheat my tea which got cold while we were reading. Then read my novel a bit.

My day has been mostly very successful.

Since I went in person to the transit office, the receptionist was super nice, realized I really did need to ride the disabled bus and couldn't walk to the regular bus stop.  They got the application probably at least a month ago.  She took my ID back and then came back, told me they were fast tracking it and I could buy tickets.  I bought enough for 10 round trips.

Then I went to my orthopedic appt.  My xray looked great, my staples were ready to come off, and he prescribed a stronger narcotic, although tonight I see that the mme is half of the MME I  have been taking. And he told me I was 40%

Dh told me I should buy my friend lunch so we drove to Chik Fil A and ordered takeout and there was no line!!!!

Then after lunch I called my rheumatologist office and talked w her clerk.  He called back later and told me what her recommendation for how much steroids to take to halt this awful Autoimmune flare

My dh then took me to a drugstore that also has medical supplies for people w disabilities.  I got another rollator, which I will keep on the msin floor.  This one is purple and only has 3 wheels.  It can fold in enough so I can get into the bathrooms w it.  ( We are the second owners of a house built in 1967). Plus a new raised toilet seat, and a grab bars for that toilet too.

Then we went to Publix and I did some shopping and picked up the percocet prescription.

Had a tasty dinner of grilled steak and baked potato.  Then we finished watching Joe the West was Won.

Nobody wanted to go to the soccer assembly, so we didn't go.  That bought us each 2 hours of time.  I spent much of mine lying in bed!

Dentist - the kids' invisalign ... Kid1's attachments keep falling off.  They put them on again today and they had fallen off before we got home.  Kid2, who was supposed to be done by now, lost her last trays and the bottom of the previous trays.  So they made an impression to make a temporary bottom retainer, and started working on a "revision," which will make the process at least 3 months longer for her.  She put her top tray in her pocket to eat dinner.  It fell out and the pup got it.  By the time she realized he had it, it was destroyed.  So now we have to go tell the dentist that she needs a temporary top retainer also.  So annoying.

I have been wanting to hear about Iinvisalign since I have been considering invisalign or other similar systems.  I am definitely more like your kid #2.  I have lost probably 5 hearing aids since 2015.The first was from a hearing aid place at my ENT doctor's practice and cost over $3000.  It is in the house but I can’t get to it. It's brother is still here but doesn't work.

The rest were from Amazon and cost between 299 and 399 each.  I think I will be long time considering.
