Recommend a turntable for DH

DH has inherited his aunt’s vinyl collection and he mentioned the other day he would like a turntable.  He’s very practical and doesn’t like fancy / expensive, but we do try to follow the “buy once, cry once” philosophy.  Please post suggestions - I have no idea what features are important.

We paid $25 more when we bought ours. It's not fancy but it works for us.

We had a semi decent turntable and DD was looking for something that was better, Well we did not know there were better ones out there till a friend who is very knowledgeable in this subject introduced us to this https://www.fluance.com/turntables. Does he want a contained unit with its own speakers, or will he be hooking it up to the sound system? The latter will deliver better sound, but a contained unit can be brought to parties or family gatherings, etc. 

Does he want strictly a turntable to listen to the vinyl, or does he want a USB turntable so that he can digitize some of the vinyl?
