rebcoola
Ugh our puppy a Cane Corso, had cherry eye surgery scheduled today at 10am, 2.5 hours away. Puppy is afraid of the vet and isn't 100% comfortable with car rides so she got anxiety meds at home before heading out. The vet calls at 4:30pm ...not for us to pick her up but to come help because they are just now taking her back to surgery. Her meds had of course worn off and they needed help get her back to surgery. Than some how she was done and ready to go home at 6. So not sure why originally it was supposed to take 4 -6hrs. I am very scared that she will be super traumatized she is naturally shy of new people and dogs.
popmom
My kitchen windows are rotting. And it’s not just trim. It’s the wood that frames the glass, too. 😞 So now I need to inspect all of our other windows. Pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things, but we need to move soon. I’m pretty sure no one wants to buy a house with rotting windows. We are in the process of replacing the original carpet upstairs, but we have no budget for windows. First world problems. Don’t buy a house built in the 1990’s.

My daughter has a specific veterinarian that she uses for her really sensitive rescues that need heartworm treatment. She had a dog traumatized once, and he developed problem behaviors after treatment. It took a lot of patience and training, but he’s ok now and adopted. Now she will pay more for her “at risk” rescues to get the treatment they need with vet that prioritizes comfort. Anyway, I totally understand your concerns. I hope your baby is healing well. So many job applications now use a standardised form which is kind of tricky if you don’t fit standard recruitment stuff for whatever reason. Mostly you can explain if you can get past the gate, iykwim.

This was an eye specialist so not the normal vet so maybe that will work for us. She shouldn't ever have to go there again. I think she is okay we will see next time we around people. I am glad they called DH to move her rather than forcing her themselves. But begore that when they couldn't move her they kept calling in more and more people to try. A Wrinkle in Time, I’m looking at you. What’s annoying you today? Vent away. 🙂 I just watched the first season of A Discovery of Witches because I could stream it for free from our library. I enjoyed the books well enough, but the series is just not great. I don’t get the casting decisions AT ALL and I’m not a person who is usually bothered by those details.
Wheres Toto
I usually can't stand watching shows that are based on books I really liked. The people NEVER look like I expected them to and I get caught up in the differences. The one exception was the Shannara Chronicles. It had been long enough since I had read the books that I didn't remember every detail, and what I did remember was pretty accurate. Dh started watching the Wheel of Time last night and it was annoying me. I won't even try Discovery of Witches because just the commercials made me realize I would hate it.
fraidycat
My DD is supposed to be moving from the bedroom upstairs to the bedroom in the basement. She has been sleeping in the basement for months, but has made NO effort to remove all of her crap from the upstairs room. The upstairs room is supposed to become my office. I have offered help, guidance, support, ideas, and have even started packing up her stuff and moving it myself. I'm so frustrated with her right now. historically accurate
I made the mistake of updating my medical spreadsheet this morning. Found out that DD's new nephrologist (last minute change due to old nephrologist leaving) is Out of Network. So, they'd like us to pay 100s of dollars for the appointment (which told us absolutely nothing new - just a standard annual check-in). So, Monday, I get to start the fight with the insurance office.
