mom31257 Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 I've had my shower and made the bacon. Dh usually makes the pancakes, and he was able to in spite of his hand situation. 2 Quote
SKL Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Happy Sunday! Don't forget to change your clocks! My partner-boss said yesterday "isn't it nice that we'll have an extra hour to work tonight?" Um no, not this year! Zzzzz! But that has happened many times - that I'm up working all night on the date the time changes. How crazy is that? It's almost too beautiful outside today. Gosh. Would love to be a retired person right now. 🙂 Done: Slept in! Coffee 1. "Yoga etc." exercise, plus a second set of a few exercises. Changed my bedroom clock. 🙂 Added some items from my personal email inbox to my calendar. Some 5ks for my kid, some school parent stuff, a blackbelt camp for me.... Updated my "gratitude journal." A tiny bit of client work. Caught up on emails, news, social media, and electronic school stuff. To do: More coffee! All of the laundry. (No, I didn't do any yesterday.) Clean the kitchen, bathrooms, and my bedroom. Try to make the kids clean their bedrooms, or at least gather their laundry! Lots of client work! Catch up on online church / make the kids listen to today's sermon with me. Do calendar stuff and grade incentives with my kids. (Q1 grades => $$ in their bank accounts.) Make Kid1 write thank you cards for her birthday gifts. Walk the dog and try to fit in some more exercise in order to hopefully "get on a roll"? Try to finish one book and start another? Start filling in the known info in my 2022 calendar. Unfortunately it starts in January so I can't totally transition until then. Maybe buy pill boxes and fill them for the week. (If I make it to the store. I might just not drive anywhere today.) Make the kids do pup duty, catch up their homework, and hopefully get things ready for Monday morning. Get Kid1's Christmas list and maybe place an Amazon order. Whatever else gets done. We have tons to do, I just don't know what's realistic for today. 3 Quote

MooCow Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Finally got up. Youngest is no longer on the robotics team...there were lots of teams whose parents obviously made the robot. He is very adverse to cheating or what he believes is cheating....one local school who won is "famous" for bending the rules. C'est la vie Shower, hair. School Make an appearance at neighbors bday party unless my covid fears stop me from going. It's inside a little coffee/bakery. I really wish the powers that be would stop spring forward/ fall back. Happy Sunday! 2 Quote

mom31257 Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 @DawnM, good to see you! @SKL, it's beautiful here today, too! What are you using for your gratitude journal? @MooCow, I'm sorry about the team! That stinks. We went to church and to Five Guys for lunch. Wow have their prices gone up! We haven't been in a long time. We took the kids back to school and came back home. I did the grading and email students. I'll look at some more lessons soon. 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Church was good, but the day has gone downhill from there. Going to bed. 2 Quote
MooCow Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 The party was outside, everyone had a blast! Dd and I were going to stop for sandwiches for dinner, but we realized neither of us had any money, lol. Luckily at the party, they sent us home with cinnamon rolls and I called it dinner! Did my walk hours earlier then I usually do. Now just hanging out, listening to worship music and trying to paint/ sticker my nails. Must remember to finish loading dishwasher and run it tonight. 1 Quote
mom31257 Posted November 8, 2021 Author Posted November 8, 2021 @ScoutTN, I'm sorry! I pray you can rest and leave it all behind. I'm trying to convince myself it is not as late as it feels. I did some more lesson planning and watched a couple of things. 2 Quote

I'm going by the daily gratitude posts by another WTM poster (can't remember the name). The first post suggested recording the items in some way so that we can look back on them over time. My planner that my kids bought me last year has a calendar-style page for each month, and then a journal-style page for each week (a small space per day). I have never used the journal-style part before, but it seems perfect for the gratitude journal. The layout for each day looks like this: (1) Monday [Box labeled "don't forget"] ______________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________ For each day, I wrote the thing(s) I'm grateful for on the lines, and then in the box labeled "don't forget," I'm writing a related action step. I'm writing them all in pencil in case I decide to erase for privacy reasons. People have been known to read my planner without permission. 😕 Quote
SKL Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 It does feel much later than it is, right? My last two laundry loads are in the washer and dryer. I did some cleaning and organizing, though you might not know by looking. (Well, unless you saw what it looked like before.) I researched and ordered a chair that will hopefully not be painful to sit on when I work downstairs. I walked the pup and did a bit of additional exercise. Not sure why I'm not skinny yet. 😛 I didn't do much client work yet. I hope to get a bunch done yet, but I'm feeling sleepy. 2 Quote
