MooCow Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Thought I'd start this since everyone is busy today. @ScoutTN prayers for doing well at your substitute job today! @mom31257 praying for you and your sister and your family at the funeral today @TheReader praying for you today as well I was able to resubmit my criminal law paper and my professor gave me a 99 out of 100! Thank goodness for my highly technical daughter! Finally updated the calendar and paid bills. Have a huge exam so I'm working on studying for that. Pick up youngest from school, have no idea what's for dinner 2 1 Quote
SKL Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Howdie, happy Friday! Been having a hard time concentrating thanks to numerous interruptions with too many people home today, but these are first world problems, right? Done: Kids to school a little early, yay! Cleaned the kitchen for company again .... Pup duties. Did some fence training down the back ravine. Remembered how much I've aged .... Client work - making slow progress, but I did get my inbox down to 38 items! I hope to send out at least a couple more things this afternoon. Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and electronic school stuff. To do: Pick up the girls and make them do pup duty etc. More client work. Pup fence trainer guy is supposed to come this afternoon. Most likely dinner out tonight. Whatever else gets done. 4 Quote
TheReader Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 hello! I've been in bed off/on most of the day. Yay migraines. This goes back to that every other month theory, I think. I really need to go to a doctor I guess. :sigh: Did get some Geometry done with DS first, so that was good. He gets the math really well, struggles with the terms. So when it asks him questions using words (ex: When two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, the alternate interior angles are (always, sometimes, never) congruent) he has no clue. When you show him the drawing, he can point them out. So we worked on that, now I think he gets it. Whew. Helped middle DS with a phone call he had to make. Oldest seems okay so far. I think I'm up for the day now, finally; going to get a big glass of water, some more food, and one more round of medicine and hope for the best. Not sure what else I have today; DH has school stuff with DS, and we had a light history week, so he and I are done honestly. If I feel up to it I may sew. We'll see. 3 Quote

SKL Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Pup was super good for the fence trainer. They both like each other so much. 🙂 Trainer wants to schedule another training in about a week. We are all worn out as the training was over an hour long. 🙂 Glad it's Friday, because I'm not motivated to get back to work! 4 Quote
ScoutTN Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 School subbing was fun; no real teaching, of course. Learning the ropes, the rhythms of the school and the class. If we’d done things differently, Ds could have gone there… On the relative scale of schools, it’s a good one. Small and cozy. 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Picked up Ds from school Got buttermilk from Publix Started the dishwasher and ran a load of kitchen linens. Made dinner - tacos Dd has two friends here to spend the night. I expect they’ll watch movies and not be up too late because we have to walk in a parade tomorrow morning. My plan - supervise dinner, prep breakfast, read, go to bed early. 3 Quote
TheReader Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Feeling better -- thanks for all the prayers! Dinner is cooking -- so grateful we put away already cooked meats at various points over the summer; pulled out the last bag of smoked turkey, chopped up some carrots & beets, threw it in the oven to roast (well, heating the turkey on the stove) and dinner will be delicious *and* effortless. Win! We're planning to watch a movie tonight (Finch) on Apple TV. 3 Quote
