Good morning! Busy day here today.

First up, coffee, and then:
....prep 2nd grade science asap for tomorrow
....sew the remaining blocks for the quilt along --  my sister bailed on us in some weird fashion, but I'm still going down and see mom
....go see mom, visit, etc.
....go see my grandma while in town
....come home, school with DS
....dinner.....???? (figure something out before I leave)
....come home, eat, veg out (peek in/out on the world series some)

Hmmm, it seems like less when I write it out.....it feels busier in my head.

Okay, glad I looked at the science stuff -- no real prep as far as typing/printing, can just run copies of the recording sheet that's there, BUT I need to throw some stuff in the freezer now so it will be ready in the morning. Glad I checked now, and didn't wait until tonight! Whew!

So, doing that, then going upstairs to sew.

Howdie, happy Tuesday!  Vote!

My kids are off school because they use schools for voting here.  So yay for one less thing to worry about!  And not having to wake up at 6:something.

Done:

  • Drove Kid2 to horse riding.  Made her clean the car since she wanted me to drive a friend (who then found another ride).  Also made kid fill up my gas tank on the way.
  • Set up my computer, started pup duty, ate some cake for breakfast.  (The person whose birthday was Sunday got 3 cakes, a pumpkin roll, and 12 cupcakes for 5 people to share!  Did I mention this isn't prime dieting time?)
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and electronic school stuff.
  • 1 coffee down so far.

To do:

  • More coffee.
  • Lots of client work.  I still have to finish some soft 10/31 deadline work among other things.
  • Pick up kid.
  • Vote.
  • Make the kids do pup duty, chores, and homework.
  • Some exercise, reading, house cleaning.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Finished the quilt blocks (and sorted what was going on with my machine, making it not like my thread; whew!)

Printed the pages for mom/sister

Ate something, gathered food to take to mom's for lunch so we don't have to go out

All the 2nd grade things are in the freezer (DH is going to get soap and put it in the freezer when he comes home later)

heading to mom's.....wish me luck

Dinner ended up being salmon burgers (frozen, from Costco), and a random assortment of CSA veggies. Roasted turnips and Brussels sprouts, sautéed bok choi, and delicata squash. All cleaned up and dishwasher running.

Never got any computer work done.

Did get in an important phone call.

Folded lots of laundry.

Next up: jammies and a book.

Did zoom for board meeting.

Eating cold Chipotle.

Take a walk?? Not sure, super cold.

Need to figure out how to live W/o Amazon. Taking forever to fix my account.

Got an F on a paper in criminal law. Emailed professor to get feedback. Really hoping this "badness" all at once goes away.

Will never stop praying.

I voted!  There were only 2 or 3 things that I knew or cared enough to vote about, but some years it's less than that.

Still did not do much client work.  Took a nap again.  I hope I get it done tonight so it doesn't keep stressing me out all week.

@MooCow, I am so sorry for the fraud and the bad grade!

I found out a cousin's husband passed away today. He had cancer and passed quickly after finding out it was basically everywhere. My older sister and I are probably going to the service Friday.

I did a load of laundry because dh wanted our alma mater t-shirt to wear tomorrow to school.

I went to the post office and to the store for just a couple of things. It was really cold out because it was windy.

Did some work on classes for tomorrow, but I have a bit more to go.

Tonight I'm thankful my cousin's husband passed peacefully and she has her children and grandchildren right in town near her.
