We have an old (and I guess scary) home. Never get any trick or treaters. Hope springs eternal, so I always  buy a bag of candy. Anyway, hope everyone's having great Halloween!

Our town’s celebration was last week.     I miss the years of having a little one to take trick or treating.    My sil just sent me a video of my niece.  She dressed up as a witch and she was so cute!!

We've had seven trick or treaters thus far which is more than last year when one family came to the door.

We rehomed a bunch of toys and gave away treats. I’m guessing we had about 100 or so.

Happy Halloween!

We had 7 kids all up, I even registered on a trick or treat website this year to try and encourage more. Our family loves Halloween but where I am in Australia just not many people do it. After a couple of years of our kids trick or treating though almost everyone in our small street has something ready for them and they have fun.

We usually have one bag of candy’s worth. This year (DSs last) we had two PLUS I sewed my niece’s Snow White costume. I count it all joy!! Happy Halloween!

Dd and her husband came over tonight. She dug through the attic and found all the Halloween things from her childhood, even the Beatles wig she wore  when she was 5.  haha We had fun carving  pumpkins and eating cupcakes.

We've only had a few ToT in the nearly 40 years we've lived here.  Too many factors against it.   we pass out candy at the trunk or treat last night.  In the past, i've always saved a few pieces "just in case."  I didn't bother this time.  I've got stuff if I have any (and I haven't as of yet, and I don't expect any.)

My dd came to dinner, then headed home to pass out candy.

We had about 30 kids. We live in a nice walkable neighborhood but idk seems like everyone prefers trunk or treats. We had a fire and gave out candy to kids and hard cider to adults.

We had sooo many I lost track. Way more than usual. I gave out Pirates Booty, then when I ran out, I gave out hot chocolate packs, then dd got home and donated the candy she didn’t want! Lol we still almost ran out 😅

dd had 3lbs remaining!

We were at the mall and lots of children were in costumes. Lots of happy kids today, just happy to dress up and walk the malls.

Does your mall do trick or treat? Ours always used to. That could be why they were there.

They do. However we also saw kids in costumes in malls that aren’t doing trick or treat today. A Trader Joe’s staff was dressed up as a jailbird. Yesterday we drove passed a church hosting truck or treat on our way to tennis.
Weather was great too for outdoor trick or treat this weekend.

We had a very nice time trick or treating with cousins. Lots of beautiful costumes to see and lots of (my favorite) doggos dressed up, too.

I actually ran out of candy this year! But I was handing out three or four per kid at the start of the evening. Plus we were in a rush to watch the World Series. We live super close to the Braves Stadium so it was funny to watch the parents really start to hurry their little ones near the end. Most adults were 'dressed up ' in Braves jerseys.

We didn’t participate this year, but I peeked out the window a few times to check on the action. There were very, very few people out— I think I saw 5 total over all the times I looked (and 2 appeared to just be people out for a walk, not out trick or treating). By 7:20 all my neighbors had given up and turned their lights out. Typically it’s done by 8, so that was pretty early.
