Okay, how do I post spoilers without people seeing the spoilers?

I've tried leaving blank space.  I've tried lots of dots.  What is the secret to it not sharing the text in the mobile preview when people aren't looking?

(highlight to read) SPOILER ALERT*****END SPOILER

Let me know if the asterisks can be seen in the mobile preview you mentioned.

Type the spoiler with the text color set to WHITE, and then add "Highlight to read spoiler." The white text will be invisible unless you highlight it, when it will be visible on a light blue background

I believe that @Corraleno is correct and that the asterisks are actually in white type. My Kindle Fire does not have different text colors available, so I simply keep the spoiler text in an unsent personal message and copy it when I need it.

Color change seems to be the kicker.  Unless other people are seeing things on their devices that I'm not seeing on my spoiler thread.
