Or, my kingdom for a sleeper sofa.

I have an exchange student coming plus all the family, and I need one. IKEA is out. Ordered the only one that shows “in stock” at West Elm and what do you know, if you click on the order now it shows December, maybe. Something else I ordered from them they just changed the ship date to next year and never bothered to notify me. I know there are supply issues but don’t state “in stock” if there never was any stock.

anyway, anyone you recommend that might actually ship in the next couple weeks?  And don’t go buying all the sleeper sofas, please 🤣

We have made some furniture purchases over the last year and Rooms to Go was reliable on delivery dates. Not everything we wanted was available but what we ordered always arrived as promised. (A dining room table and chairs and then a living room set consisting of sofa/love seat/recliner.) We were browsing Ashley Furniture and even the salesman told us that the delivery dates are not reliable.

Also had good luck with a chair and a mattress from Wayfair.

I bought a sectional from Wayfair earlier this year and it shipped in days (custom made in NC), but it arrived with the frame broken and getting the replacement was a nightmare, so I can’t wholeheartedly recommend them. If you have better luck than me, at least it’s coming from INSIDE the US and can be replaced fairly quickly.  Just make the delivery guys unwrap it at the truck, before bringing it in the house.

We purchased from Lovesac earlier this month and they were delivered within a week. They’re pricey but I like how versatile they are.

I've been on a furniture-from-Wayfair spree this last year, and everything has shown up within a week. I've also had good  luck with Overstock, but Wayfair's furniture quality seems to be better. But I got my sectional sleeper sofa as an allegedly-damaged (but not that I ever found) floor model from a local store.  Sofas may be a challenge because I think they are too big for one guy in a FedEx truck to deliver. My Wayfair furniture all came FedEx, but it could be disassembled and put into boxes. There is always Craigslist.

Certainly there are furniture stores in my city with sleeper sofas in stock. We wanted a certain color, so have been willing to wait, although the wait has been extended due to the Delta surge (we bought a locally made brand). I’m average height, but lots of sofas are too big for me. So personally, I would never risk ordering one online, unless I could try it out somewhere first. I’d just check out all of the local furniture stores within a reasonable driving distance and hope for the best.

Samesies. Also need one. Have had multiple people recommend Costco.
