For my parents. A few years ago I started giving them stockings every year.

I need to get them done early this year.

So I have some of my moms favorite nailpolish...

And this gadget for my dad who loves gadgets...

Christmas Stocking Stuffers Gifts for Men - Telescoping Magnetic Pickup Tool Gifts Idea for Dad Women Husband Boyfriend Him, Cool Stuff Birthday Anniversary Gadget Tool, Mechanic Magnet Tool for Car https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08CZ7DCHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_F3VJ5Z46EZD336QEM4JN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

They don't drink and Mom is diabetic so ...nothing in that vein.

I only shop for MIL now but these are common ones:

healthy snacks

chocolate/candy she likes

lip balm

hand lotion

slipper socks with the grips on the bottom

regular socks

hand sanitizer

gift cards for local food places like Bob Evans or McDonalds (she likes to pick up McDonalds for breakfast after church)

foot lotion or face moisturizer

bar soap for shower

her favorite kitchen soap (bath and body works foaming)

word search book

We picked up a fidget toy - one that has reversible bubbles that you can pop out (not sure what to call it). It's just fun.

Silly putty. It is fun.

Do they like puzzle books?

Nuts - mixed, almonds, etc.

Hot chocolate mix? (Is that okay for diabetics?)

Small container of hand lotion

When my FIL was alive, we'd get him things like

diabetic socks

sugar-free candy (he liked Russell Stover chocolate mints the best)

body wash and poof

some kind of skin moisturizer

chapstick

Oh, my MIL likes those little packets of tissues for her purse, too.

Thank you for this thread!

We also do stockings for my parents and sister, and it gets harder every year to find fun things that they will also use / eat, etc.  I added the gadget to my Amazon cart for my dad.

Many of the ideas from previous posters are ones that have worked for us, too.

Some ideas we've used that might work:

gloves (nice ones and those little cheap stretch ones that can be kept in a purse or pocket.)

magnets for the fridge ( especially fun if you can get some made with family/grandchildren photos )

small paperbacks (romance, western, etc)

nail files, nail clippers, tweezers, etc.

those face sheet masks (also hand and feet masks for exfoliation or dryness)

key chains,

any crafty things the grandchildren may make or turn their art work/photographs into magnets or small prints - this works for grown or nearly grown grandchildren in our experience, too.  My daughters made fun little ornaments and handmade stockings for everyone as teenagers which the grandparents enjoyed.

I'm watching for more ideas myself.

I tend to just shop at the Dollar Store for stocking stuffers.
But I'm not a very creative gifter!

With our kids, we use a Pringles can to make the stocking stand up straight when filled.
Water bottle or Travel Coffee Cup does the same thing---I love these suggestions!
