My two little Shih-tzu/Bichon mixes have been on Royal Canin breed specific dry dog food for a long time. It’s become hard to get and expensive, so I need other brands that are good. No chicken, I think the puppy’s tummy doesn’t like chicken.

We did purina pro plan for a long time and it's great. Now we are using Canidae because they have an all stage that makes life easier.  Either of those brands though I don't know their small breed selections are typically really great.

We are now using Purina Pro Plan weight management or something like that.  It's the low fat kind, but not the prescription one.   My dog who had pancreatitis recently is doing very well on it and actually likes it.   I use the dry and canned version.   Right now, she is eating the turkey version, but there's also beef and maybe salmon?  I can't remember.   I got it from Amazon.

I do Blue Buffalo/Blue Wilderness (wet and kibble) for my cat (grain free is especially important. for cats.) they also make dog food.  Some varieties have no chicken.

My dd's labradoodle breeder uses/rec'd life's abundance.  But it also has chicken.  Not sure what my dd feeds her dogs.  Their tummy's don't like chicken either.  (They can have a tiny bit, but if they have too much they have runny stools.  And they love chicken.  . . )
