Janeway Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 I thought I read somewhere that the workbook is just extra but not really used for Dimensions 7 and 8. I cannot find the posts now. Should I buy the workbook? Starting with 7A. Thank you! Quote
mom2bee Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 After Dimensions 6, the workbooks provide additional practice problems but those problems have to be copied onto paper and worked--there is no space to work the problems in the workbooks. I think that you should look at the TOC for Dimensions 7. If you foresee your student needing additional practice in at least 2 of the chapters in a volume, then get the workbook. Quote
wathe Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Agree with PP. The workbooks aren't really workbooks. They are rather sets of extra problems. Quote
Porridge Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 The workbook has a range of extra problems, from basic practice to more challenging. The textbook problems tend to be pretty basic. If you want more challenging problems, I’d get the workbook. My DS tends to find the textbook problems tedious but relatively easy, so we use the workbook to make it more challenging. I would say the workbook has problems that you might have expected to find in the Challenging Word Problems series. The workbook is most like the Intensive Practice books, if you are familiar with those. the workbook solutions book has fully worked solutions. 1 Quote
Porridge Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 @Janewayi will pm you some pictures so you can get a better sense of what is in the textbook versus the workbook Quote
