Good morning!

Dh is off to work and slept better last night. I've had a couple good nights as well, but I can't seem to sleep past 5:30 in the morning.

  • food for me and dinner
  • 2 Zoom sessions
  • errands out (post office and grocery store for a few things)
  • might stop by the furniture store and ask about our backordered chairs
  • more work on lessons for next week
  • put together a bookcase tonight
  • walk if it's not raining
  • watch some stuff, play a game, relax

Good Morning!   I didn't sleep very much- not sure how much but I feel better this morning than I did all day yesterday. I will get this Mayo Scottsdale appt set up even  if I have to pay for incestigative services to find my neurologist's home address and cell phone so I can reach her and tell her about what her staff is doing and how the phone system does not work.  I also will be texting my own doctor that I cannot fax the info for him to do the order because his fax isn't working.

Dance cause I don't want to ruin my new hair style.  I will post later.

Make breakfast

Get dressed and clear up stuff for maid service coming in at 8 am to give estimate and if I like it, to clean.

Plan Anniversary outing for tomorrow night- our anniversary was Tuesday but we both had meetings at night

Lots more later

Happy (belated) Anniversary, @TravelingChris! And congratulations on your son's wedding!  I do hope they get the Mayo appointment all sorted out without too much more hassle on your end.

My day today:
....coffee (feeling much better, finally! whew!)
....grade papers, file those
....school with DS (history, language arts)
....work on prep for K/1st for Monday
....again with the laundry that hasn't gotten done yet
....lunch - leftovers
....dinner - pasta thing that DH didn't make last night
....after dinner - fencing class

I think that's all; thankfully I am feeling better. Whew.

Good morning, y’all.

Ds has the day off from school, and Dd is zooming dance and AHG, so way less driving for me today.

Tutor 3 students online and log sessions.  One rescheduled for tomorrow.

Finish an AHG t-shirt order.

Vacuum

Try to help Ds stay on track with 2 important school assignments.

Use up leftovers and figure out dinner.

Have a kid call my mom.

Get out and walk at the park!

Read! I just listened to a podcast last night. Didn’t make progress on my book.

Two students down, one to go.
Lunching on pimento cheese toast and strawberries.
New printer got here today, so I need to set it up, but that will have to wait til Dh is not working at his desk.
Ordered something for dd.
Put in a grocery order to pick up tomorrow morning, after I drop ds at school.

Howdie!

Been on pup duty all day.  This means having to interact with everyone who goes through the common areas of the house, and to hear everyone's conference calls (which they put on speaker).  Sigh.  I really don't concentrate well.

I did get a few client things done.  Need to do at least a couple more before picking up my kids.

Kids have a chiro appt and band practice.

Kid1 needs help getting caught up on some school work.

Probably need to do some laundry.

I think I would really like pimento cheese if the pimentos were picked out.

Taking a quick break from my reading. Did all my definitions by hand. Want to be almost done with chapter by the time I pick up youngest from school.

@TravelingChris, happy anniversary!

I miss pimento cheese!

I finished the classes and finished lesson plans for next week.

Our kit for cable came, and I tried the self-install kit, but there's no signal because we have the modem router in another room. Surprisingly, a technician had a time open for this afternoon.

I watched another Poldark.

Loaded the dishwasher and it is going

put away all the rest of the groceries from the errands out earlier

I went by the local library to see about possibly volunteering to do some homeschool classes, and they aren't using volunteers right now because of Covid. They require masks, so I was hoping it might be an option for something to do out and meet people. It's so close to my house, too.

@mom31257, I hope  you find something to do to meet people. I am still praying for that for you. ((hugs))

Did school with DS

had lunch, took a nap, went to the nursery to get fall veggies to plant (broccoli, sugar snap peas, beans, sweet potatoes) - that should be fun!  Oh, and carrot seeds (we also have some squash planted, and still have peppers and tomatoes, but not sure the tomatoes will rebound or not; sometimes yes, sometimes no)

Need to research trees, and see what we may want to replace our probably dying one after the storm

Need to get going on the rest of the list before time to cook/go to fencing....

filled out some evaluations for a parent of a student

cooked dinner (pasta w/cheese sauce and sausage, which is ironic given yesterday's/today's convo about me maybe going off dairy to help the migraines....LOL!)

DH and I will head to fencing shortly

night, all....(still didn't do any laundry....)

@SKL, I asked dh if any of the schools he has worked at would have meetings over kids requesting to change classes as your has, and he said no. Because you mentioned others wanting to leave the class, he suggested they are trying to prevent that because if the class enrollment drops too low they won't get funding for it.

The cable guy took longer than expected to figure out what our connection problem was, so dinner was late. We did go for a walk, though. Dh wants to wait on the easier bookcase until tomorrow night. Then we'll do the harder one this weekend.

I called the furniture store about our dining chairs that were still coming. The salesperson told us they had a lot in a warehouse farther away and it would take 3-4 weeks. I called today and talked to another lady, and she says the other warehouses show none. She is checking with the manager because I told her if we had known there weren't any chairs, we wouldn't have bought the table and allowed it to be delivered. I'm asking if they can give us the chairs off the floor, even though we wanted 6 not 4 and a bench. If there aren't any chairs available they certainly don't need it on the floor showing it and allowing people to order it. I don't want them if they are damaged, though.

I only got an 80 on my quiz. I just don't understand it. I have another try, but I'll wait until Sunday after dgd goes home. I guess I'll just study some more.

The fish tacos came out yummy.

The kids are in bed. I think I'm going to go on a walk tonight by myself.

Oooh, fish tacos….need to put those on the menu calendar! Making carnitas this weekend.

Hilarious listening to Dd and her AHG unit tonight.

Hoping to get to bed early. Feeling weary tonight. I think it’s due to not enough time outside and exercise. Getting up early and taking a walk tomorrow!

Kid's chemistry homework is done for tonight ....

This week's "only an hour of homework" includes 67 slides among other things.  The ones we worked on Tuesday & today involved conversions of measurements (example, how many microliters are in 3.5 x 10^-5 liters?)  The teacher requires them to write each one out in multiple steps (using a bulky formula), and then take a photograph and attach it to the online slide.  How even a genius 15yo is expected to do 67 such tasks in 1 hour, I don't know, but anyhoo.  Even though my kid is trying to drop this class, she is worried that a poor score will transfer into her new class if she doesn't keep up with the homework for now.

Note to self - send those old math test scores to the counselor by tomorrow morning ....
