momofkhm
Good morning ladies! Are we liking the daily threads or not??
momofkhm
As dh went to bed last night, I told him I'd get up and swim with him today. Then I checked the weather, much later and decided it would be plenty warm enough to ride my bike. (high in the 60s!) So I wrote a note and put it on his clothes. I woke up with him anyway at 4:45!!! After 5 I decided to get up and have quiet time and get out on the road anyway. It took me until 6 to actually get out there - quiet time and then I needed to charge my phone to use imapmyrun. Then I forgot my head light so I had to go back in. It was raining! Well, misting. The mist falling from the sky was no biggie, but the water coming off my tire into my eyes was! I only went one loop instead of the planned 2. And it was dark to boot! 62 degree, mist - tech long sleeve(only b/c it has reflective things), bike skort. 5.77 miles, 26:25 minutes, 4:35 ave pace, 13.11 ave speed, 212 calories This time it used a lot of battery! I'm not too sure about this battery usage. One of these days, I'm just going to go out and see how long the battery lasts! :glare:
chai
I really wanted to run today, but there is too much ice on the roads and sidewalks. I did my Strong Body DVD instead. (I did pilates on Monday.) My inner thighs feel like jelly! Ouch!

Jennifer in MI
I agree - I like the daily threads too! I'm feeling MUCH better today. But, I decided to take it easy for one more day. I haven't eaten much in three days, so I'm adding rice cooked in broth today. I may go crazy and eat some potatoes for dinner. We'll see how my tummy does. I hope to run again tomorrow!! Hope you continue to improve, and that you're family are all feeling better, too. Take it easy if you do head out tomorrow. Don't be like me and ignore your body's needs.;)
Colleen
Are we liking the daily threads or not?? Yeah, I think there are enough people to make these work again; thanks for being the ring leader. Weren't you at one point talking about a potential move out this direction? What became of that? Because ~ I've said it before and I'll say it again ~ I seem to be an PST island as far as these threads are concerned. I don't wanna be the last to check in each and every time.:tongue_smilie: 5.77 miles, 26:25 minutes, 4:35 ave pace, 13.11 ave speed, 212 calories What the...?! That's a lot of numbers!:D

lynn
I just finished 4.49miles. I could not find my watch so I just did the route with the 2 dreaded hills 4x's.

Colleen
Almost 6 pm here and I just finished 6 miles. Running in the dark does slow up my pace, since a lot of the time I'm going by sense more than sight. I think I was close to a 9 minute mile pace. But it's so fun to go through town and look at all the lights ~ we have a lot of nice displays here. And to run past people's homes, all light up.:) Almost got my mind off my legs, which were/are hurting a lot.
Elaine
I didn't run today, I went to the gym for my favorite bootcamp class. An hour of absolute torture by a 25 year-old guy. I love it!:D

NOt this year - I'm waiting until 8 most mornings.
