Slache Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 A year ago I was in a terrible place regarding pain and started CBD oil, 1,500mg/day. This was due to a lupus flare that is now no longer as bad. My goal is to not be on pain management and I want to lower my dosage, but the completely unbiased sales people tell me that's a bad idea. Would you lower your dosage in my case? What I want to do is buy the same dosage, take half as my regimen, have the rest available for bad days. Keep pushing in that direction until I'm no longer on a regimen. Quote
Shoeless Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 I don't see why you couldn't lower the dose? If cutting by half is too much at once, you could do a slower taper until you are at a more appropriate dose. 6 Quote
Katy Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 I would lower by 25%, hold for 3-10 days, then lower by 25% again. But I’m going by the idea of cbd oil being anti-inflammatory, not by direct knowledge. Most anti-inflammatory meds need a taper if you don’t want a flare. 1 1 Quote
