Science for 6 yr loving science, colorful books recommendations

Recommended Posts

My 6 yr old is loving RS4Kids books. I have the first edition books that I bought when the older kids were young. The pictures very well explain everything and the print is perfect and appealing for his reading age. I am wondering what else anyone would recommend? I am also wondering if the new editions really have so much more that they would be worth buying? Or is there something else? We have plenty of books with experiments so I do not really need just a program with tons of hands on stuff. He likes reading and looking at the books himself and he really does understand a lot. Is there anything other than RS4Kids that is geared toward kids his age reading? He has some First Encyclopedia Usborne books he likes a lot too.

I don’t have any experience with RSK, so can’t comment on the newer editions .

You could look at the Lets Read and Find Out series of books and books by Gail Gibbons. Most libraries carry them.
