Good morning!

Yesterday was busy but good; had my 2nd grade class (sent a kid home midway through as the child seemed to develop a fever/started not feeling well), and then went over to my grandma's so she could go to the doctor. Came home, ate dinner, sent all my school emails/texts, picked DS up from church, then DH & I watched an episode of For All Mankind.

So, today, I need to:
....coffee
....grocery pick up

....maybe go with DH during that to look for a replacement piece for his halloween stuff (one was badly broken, and it's out of stock most places)
....look over my stuff for next week, print/prep K & 1st
....school with DS -- language arts, set up his schedule for the week, Barton...?

....fold some laundry
...dinner -- check the list
...not sure what else -- this already feels like "that's not all gonna get done" list to me, so we'll see
....oh, ha! Today is Thursday, so fencing tonight after early/light dinner

have a good day!

The kids are at school ... so far so good.

Actually, I was up most of the night worrying about needing to get up.  Didn't finally get up until about 6am.  😕  Got some work done, but it isn't sent out yet.

I'm on morning pup duty because the usual morning person had to pull an all-nighter at work.  Anyway, this will probably become my routine, since I'm up anyway to get the kids going.

Done:

  • Some client work.
  • Morning pup stuff.
  • Switched out the laundry.
  • Kids up & off to school.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, and social media.
  • Working on coffee 3.

To do:

  • More client work.  Call the IRS!
  • Pack some of the morning laundry & 2 water bottles into kid1's soccer bag.
  • Daily exercise including TKD form practice.
  • Kid1 from after-school band practice to soccer game.
  • Kid2 picked up from band practice.
  • Buy fresh pet food.
  • Pick up Kid1.
  • Go to school open house?  It's from 5:30-7:30 so maybe I can fit it in between everything else.
  • Make the kids get caught up on their homework and chores.
  • Whatever else gets done.

HI everybody!   So far, I have been looking at housing prices/ft for dd2, marriage certificate process so that I know what both kids are going to be doing within 2 months- I think dd2 will get married first and then ds who has to wait till mid Oct due to some stipulation in his fiancee's divorce issue.  DD2 is looking to get SS Disability.  Her health has been seriously declining.  She needs to be married two months to get on her fiance's insurance.  Plus they are looking into buying a house in a neighboring city and they need to be married to buy a house together (it is so much easier to do it with them married).

To do

Call federal credit union and ask questions about loans

check out USAA mortgage loans and also realtor referral system

Call at least one provider and make sure they have billed my Tricare supplement

call Tricare Supplement

prepare for my doctor's visit today

go to doctor

laundry

@TravelingChris, I'm sorry your dd's health is declining.

Zoom classes went well.

I went to see dh' classroom and give him ideas. I wish he had asked me before he started putting things up. I have an idea that would help things pop more, but he's not going to do it all over. Why ask after the fact?

We grabbed lunch while we were out.

I loaded the dishwasher and ran it.

I sorted the laundry and started the first load.

I took care of license address changes online. Unfortunately, ds' cost us money because he has turned 18 since it was issued. That made it a class upgrade instead of just address change.

3 of the 5 lesson plans for next week are made but not posted yet.

Okay, DH says we'll leave early for fencing and stop at B&N to look for Portuguese materials (I did not know that was on the list), and tomorrow we'll go hunting his halloween thing.

Filing the printed stuff/stuffing folders, and then will fold laundry & get ready for fencing, which will conclude my list for today. Yay!

Well, I did a zoom meeting with my professor.

Washed my hair

Put off Amazon returns to tomorrow

My a/c can't keep up with this heat. Ordered fans yesterday. Must use them now. Going to be takeout again.

Still have to finish a couple of assignments for school.

Tomorrow will be a busy day. So many errands before dgd gets here.

@TheReader, the email cleanout you did earlier this summer inspired me. I've been working on mine this week. I have two email accounts that had over 12,000 emails total. I'm down to under 2000.

Two loads of laundry completely done, one in washer

We watched a Madam Secretary and some episodes of Modern Family

ended up skipping fencing, b/c of the kid with the fever on Weds (did I share that here? I had to send a kid home halfway through class when he became feverish).  Just in case, we didn't want to be in close contact w/that many folks.

After it was too late to leave, the parents emailed that his strep test and rapid covid were both negative, so then we took the kids out to eat (we planned on eating outdoors, but the patio was super crowded, and inside there were people at the bar, and no one at tables at all, so we grabbed a booth in the far back corner).

Went to B&N and got a Portuguese textbook.
