Terabith
It seems particularly mean why you're achy, feverish, and feel like crap.

I got sick last Friday, and the doctor said these viruses seem to rarely be lasting longer than a week, so probably tomorrow or Friday at the latest I will feel better. Plus, not covid, so I'm feeling pretty optimistic.
Tanaqui
Probably they make them that way so that people don't open them without buying them, say, in the drugstore.
Tap
Sorry your feeling unwell. I hope you feel better in a day or so! Hard to open packages are to deter children from ingesting them accidentally. It is a form of childproofing.
TravelingChris
I have scissors all over the house to open things. I have RA in my fingers.

AmandaVT
To torture you when you are sick and weak - at least that's been my operating theory. Hope you feel better soon!!

The second rougher than the first and I've still got a cough that won't go away. I sound like a long time smoker. But it is getting better just slower than I would like. I hope you are on the road to recovery soon!
zimom
Imitrex migraine pills used to be the same way. Here I was thinking I was about to die with a knife stuck through my eye and I couldn't open the flippin' package for my lifesaving pill. Now I just flip open a plastic container and inject myself with an imitrex shot and I am better in 5 minutes. It really is night and day.
Terabith
I feel loads better today. Still tired and weak and no energy, but the sore throat and pounding head and muscle aches are mostly gone. So yay!

itsheresomewhere
The same reason they make contact lenses so hard to open. Glad to hear you a feeling a bit better today.
chiguirre
It's to make it harder to use to make methamphetamine from the pseudoephedrine in Nyquil and other OTC cold remedies. That's also why they're sometimes in the pharmacy and you have to ask for them even though they're OTC.
