MicheleHomeschool Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 My sons will be returning to homeschool this year. I’m looking for a solid yet interesting ELA curriculum. I wonder if switching to level 4/5 MCT books would be a good idea. I’m also open to other suggestions. Regards, Michele Quote
Clemsondana Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 I've done levels 1-5 with my older (we're finishing level 6 this year) and am on level 5 with my younger. It depends on what you need to work on, but my favorite is level 3. The vocabulary is great and you can do a lot with Essay Voyage. Level 4 is a quirky level - a little shorter and focuses on writing in literature. We got to level 3 in middle school because we started when my kids were in late elementary and, well, level 3 comes after level 2. 🙂 But, that being said, if I had to pick one level to do with a student between 6th and 12th grades, that's probably the one that I'd pick. 1 Quote

MicheleHomeschool Posted August 17, 2021 Author Posted August 17, 2021 @clemsondana Would you use the same level 3 for my grade 9 student? Quote
