Kanin Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 I'm having a hard time sorting through this website. They have cotton masks with filters that say "99% filtration." Then, they have other (paper?) masks that are KN95. I'm wondering if the cotton ones with filters are legit, or comparable to Happy Masks. I have Happy Masks, but I'm having a lot of trouble with glasses fogging. Reviews on these say they're good for glasses. https://shopvida.com/products/protective-mask#201000000166 Quote
MEmama Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 Those masks are cute! Judging from the photos, they don’t look as molded as Happy Masks, more like regular cloth masks. If you’re wearing them all day, I wonder if they would be as comfortable as HMs? It seems like if you have 2-3 ply cloth masks with filter pockets, you could just buy the filters. But yeah, I wonder too if they really work as well as claimed. 99% is higher than most anything else available (and it mentions bacteria and pollen, which are great but maybe not the same as viruses??). I’m feeling a little jaded lately, I’ll admit. Sorry I don’t have any experience with the brand, though. I hear you about the foggy glasses with HMs—I’m trying to find better fitting masks too. Quote

Or wear contacts.... although for some reason my new contacts were great in the office and blurry at home 😕 1 Quote
KSera Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 Can you handle an N95 for what you need masks for? The 3M Aura 9205+ is excellent for not fogging glasses. Otherwise, a KF94 might be your best option. I have only had some glasses fogging outside in very cold weather with one of those. Quote
