Tackling Saturday Together

Good morning! 

The move in the dorm went well. The school issued a mandatory indoor mask mandate before the move in. People seemed compliant most all places, but in the dedication service last night, some people took them off when they got to their seats, including the people who sat right in front of us. I get so aggravated with people not following rules. 

We go back this morning for parent sessions and a family cookout. 

When we get back home, I will do more unpacking and start working on school stuff. I begin my regular math classes the week of the 23rd.

Good morning! 

I am up early in hopes of getting some quiet time to work on financial things. Need to make a fresh start in YNAB. 
 

Other things: 
Take Ds to get a lizard! Yikes!
Grocery ✅ 
Library ✅ 
Maybe AHG stuff, if I have time. 

Ds has a late afternoon youth group event that includes dinner. I had the date wrong; it's next week. 
Possible picnic tonight for Dd's tutorial, but it might rain.

Good morning everyone!! Today's plan:

 

Bury FIL's ashes-done-buried him in his tackle box

Clean the floors-done

Cook lunch-someone else will have to do dinner-done

Paint the inside frame of a window-done

Prepare for Monday's lessons-may involve going to the school-went to the school, but no air available, so I only worked a couple hours tomorrow

If anything else gets done, it will be a bonus

Whew! YNAB fresh start done. I got to skip a ton of data entry that way. 😎Bills paid and I have a good sense of where we are money-wise.  That took less time than I thought it would.

Weekend away! We’re half way to Chicago for the weekend. The younger half of kids have never been there!

Aquarium today and a stroll by Lake Michigan along with some great pizza.

Good morning!

Got my third mRNA shot yesterday night at Publix and started back on amytryptilline last night and I am feeling super happy. Which is great since still having a bunch of pain from my various arthritises.

Quickly put laundry in

Call credit union and verify charges

manage pain

do a bit of weeding

go to Art Museum

figure out meals today

message rheumatologist

Remembered to get cash.

Read the mail.

Got Dd working on a list.

• pick up decorative chair for bedroom ✅ 
• list living room furniture ✅ 
• list a few toys A doesn't play with in the foster care swap ✅ 
• pick up dad's meds ✅ 
• clean dad's room and organize ✅ 
• dad's laundry ✅ 
• re-organize an area of our bedroom to have a sitting room instead of a home office in that space
• dishes ✅ 
• 3 year old's laundry ✅ 
• go through a few boxes that have been sitting in the living room a while and toss/put away
• list a few things in the kitchen to purge ✅ 
• list a few items for sale ✅ 

UPDATE:   Whew, I didn't get to all of it, but I have done a lot today.

Decided NOT to get a lizard! At least not now. Too pricey for all the set up. And Ds is being a ….

He can earn the money and demonstrate a better attitude if he is serious about having a lizard. 

He can complete the BSA badge with another option for now.

@math teacher, I hope things went well with that difficult task. 

We are back home and ready to begin this empty nest gig. Ds was sooo ready for us to leave, and I get it. I know he is anxious to be on his own in his new life.

Rough day here, in terms of relationships. 
I am overwhelmed with life's struggles right now and feeling discouraged. 
Gotta pull it together to take Dd to a tutorial picnic.

I hate days like this. Generally they lead to increased closeness as it’s worked through but it’s so sticky to work through!! Hugs! I’m sorry. I’m gearing up for the new school year, the new AHG year/planning, etc and feeling overwhelmed too. I if you need to take a few days off, you tell ‘em all Kelly prescribed it. ♥️
