Good morning!

I am sore this morning, especially my calves. I am standing a lot with all the unpacking. We have hardwood in most places and tile in the baths, pantry, and laundry room. We've never had those before, but we did have LVP on a concrete slab, so I would think this isn't harder.

And I realize every other bed I slept on this summer was more comfortable than ours. We need to remedy this eventually.

Dd comes this evening!

  • meals
  • grocery store
  • keep unpacking
  • look over some school stuff
  • prod ds to help me make a list of what he still needs for school (he's not in a hurry to get this stuff done...that teen boy thing!)
  • go get driver's license/tags
  • enjoy dd being here!

Good morning!

Today I am in summer mode again, so my list is short:
....coffee
....fix my friend's gift that messed up yesterday
...pack and mail that one and one other to a different friend
....laundry I didn't do yesterday
...lunch -- ???
....dinner -- check the chart
....after dinner today -- maybe watch Suicide Squad or Jungle Cruise or else TV or something
....send the email to parents about my lunch change for K/1st
...nail down other Covid precautions and write that up to distribute/go over at Orientation

I think that's all, but I'm sure there's stuff I'm forgetting.

Goof morning!

Yes, I am super stiff, in a lot of pain, and have so much to do.  But I can't do much about the pain today because I have blood tests tomorrow and don't want to screw them up and can't get pain pills till tomorrow too.

I have to call my rheumatologist to re-ask what tests I need because dh cleaned my office and threw my notes away. I also need to schedule my appt for Prolia. Also ask for refills of meds

Then I have to call my primary and ask for more lab orders, plus my pain prescription

Call Betterhelp and try to get refund for months I didn;t use.  And if I get it,. Schedule virtual appt.

Take shower to relieve pain

Put on pain maids, etc

Do Instacart or go shopping

Order a new mouse pad

Probably that is enough

Mostly everything I didn't do yesterday.

My focus level is very low so far this week.

Ugh!

Also, Kid1 has a soccer scrimmage during afternoon work hours, not close to home.  I guess I will work at the library again.

Having a lot of trouble with my internet connection today.  Not that it's an excuse, but it's an added frustration I don't need....

Composed/written the email for the parents; I hope they don't all rebel and get annoyed. :sigh:  Need to be sure I have all the correct email addresses in my list and then send it.

Dinner is in the crock pot -- pork shoulder, with a kind of Mexican vibe. Street corn for a side tonight.

Having breakfast, then will carry up laundry, do that, and work on fixing my friend's gift.  Also need to change my sheets and clean the cat litter box -- DH asked me to remind him to do it, he is out of the house all day, so I'm going to do it instead to surprise him. They are both usually his job.

Got sidetracked with something not on my original list - cleaned Ds’ room. Desperately needed to be done, but it took 2 hrs.

Next up:

Electronic chores

Take lunch to mom and then take her out to buy cosmetics.

So far I have contacted my rheumatologist and scheduled not only the Prolia shot but an appt in early Nov too.  The lab slips were sent late last week and will also be emailed to me.  I have to still message for refills.

I also am getting a resolution for Betterhelp- the CS person extended for one month and for the other 3 months, she has reached out to the managers since she can\t do that.

Left message with primary

Sent the email. Fingers crossed the parents don't flip out.

My directors checked back in with me to triple-check I'm okay not having any kind of break; I love them for that. ❤️

I am so frustrated with technology and so called improvements right now---my new youtube tv comes with a tiny remote with symbols I can\t see and I can\t hold the remote easily and have trouble with the symbols.  I asked dh if it came with a pamphlet about how to use- he said, no you are supposed to watch youtube video- and I hate this. I like to have an easy guide to refer to and will have to take notes.  Next- Humana Tricare did an update and as part of this update, got rid of the ability to see any claims past the last 15 or 20 or so.  When I chatted with them yesterday, the person said they have had a number of complaints about this and she will be forwarding the complaint again.  And my sound system on my computer isn't working.

@TravelingChris, good to "see" you! I'm sorry for your troubles!

Got the driver's license and tag taken care of

I looked over some school work for the private student I have this year (I'll manage all of his homeschool work online).

I went furniture shopping to a couple of places near here. I found some promising choices.

Went to the post office.

Made it to the grocery store for  the final food for tonight.

Okay, changed the sheets

Load 0 is folded, waiting to be carried up to put away

Load 1 is out of the dryer, waiting to be folded

Load 2 is in the dryer

Finished my friend's present, finally -- it won't fit in my envelopes, so will get a box and mail it

Packaged up my other friend's gift and have it ready to mail

Dinner is in the crock pot (did I say that already??), DH is home, trash cans brought up to the house after trash day

Going to the grocery store & post office, then done for the day minus finish folding the laundry

I did a lot of yesterday's stuff but ended up at the ER from 2pm-10pm with my dad, who fell.

Today I am beat.   I haven't done a whole lot.    However, I have worked on a few things with the kids, and we announced to all 3 older boys that allowances are stopping for all of them.   They are old enough to not need it anymore.

And we have been working on my senior child's schedule, it is all messed up.

School starts for staff Thur and I am overwhelmed.

Oh, @DawnM, praying for all of that. Big, big, big hugs.

Home from the post office and grocery store, both packages mailed, last minute ingredients picked up, home and done.

Have heard back positive comments from parents on my changes so far, so that's good. I was prepared for mild outrage, LOL!

Going to fold clothe and eat dinner and then veg out.

@DawnM How is your dad? Sorry for the exhausting ER trip!

I delivered a CSA share to a friend.

Reminded Dd to do a couple things.

Checked in with a neighbor about something.

Dinner is chx chili, corn, and green salad. Watermelon for desert.

After dinner: AHG stuff.

Being ornery.    He refuses to keep the neck brace on.   He doesn't like the meds prescribed so he is taking some he had from before for pain.

ARGH!

He says the only reason he want to the ER by ambulance was to get a CAT to see if he had a brain bleed and he doesn't, so he is good other than some pain.

Truth is, he has a fracture of his occipital bone from the fall and needs to wear the brace.

Oh, gosh, @DawnM, I'm sorry he's being stubborn like that. praying for him and for you!

Dinner was good; side dish took a detour, but turned out okay anyway.

Load 2 is folded; Load 1 I got the kids to carry up (it's their stuff), so that's done. Load 3 is waiting and will probably wait till later, but it's just socks/undies so it can hang out till tomorrow if need be.

Lego Masters is actually on tonight, so we're going to watch that; DH and middle DS may go driving (lessons, still.....) if they can reach an agreement.

@DawnM, I pray your dad gets more cooperative and heals quickly! My dad having some falls is the big reason we moved closer to him.

Dd is still here. It is fun having her come to the new house!

Ds has accomplished almost nothing today. I'm frustrated but not going to get stressed over it. He  moves in Friday morning, and he isn't going to have a car to go get things. We are only living 40 minutes away, but I'm not running up there every time he thinks of something he "should" have taken care of this week. He can order things on Amazon or get a ride from someone else.
