Hi All!

I don't see a thread yet; I know MooCow is with her grandbaby while her son has surgery, so prayers there, and I think Amy is in closing/will be closing on the house today, so prayers there, too.

My list today:
....coffee
...go visit my grandma, with thanks to the 5 yr old's family who graciously let me cancel after I scheduled this on top of her lesson, totally forgetting I had that (oops)
....stop by the fabric shop there and grab a couple of yards of this scrumptious fabric they have just gotten in
....stop by Joann's on the way home to get adjustable things for ear loops for masks (and maybe stuff to use for the mask loops as well)
....stop at HEB to get salmon, b/c it's for dinner tonight and I like to buy it same-day (remember to take the incidental list too)
....come home, do the placemats and folders I didn't do yesterday
....finish whatever laundry needs finishing
....put the earloops on the masks for my friend, maybe make 1-2 more
...dinner, video game/movie/hang out night (not sure yet what the hang out plan is)
....anything I'm forgetting

Have a good Friday, everyone!

Thank you for remembering us in prayer!  Son is under right now. GD was awake when I got there at 4:45am. She's got two big ole teeth coming in. I walked into their place and collapsed face first into their couch and ds covered me up with a blanket. 💞 They left and about ten minutes later I realized she was awake. Both ugh and lol. So I waited a little tiny more to make sure she really was awake, and she was so I changed her diaper blah blah blah, and we started her morning routine and I thought you know what if I go home I have three other humans to help me! So we left and then I had to call my daughter-in-law to find out how to lock their front door because it's some electronic lock with a key fob! And she didn't understand what I meant and she was like you just turn it and I said no honey I'm outside. It was pretty funny.

Also praying that everything goes well for Amy with her closing !

Enjoy your visit with your gma @TheReader!

Thanks for starting us off, Reader!

Amy, let us know how the closing goes!

MooCow, enjoy the day with your grand. Prayers for a smooth surgery for your son.

I have been for a walk at the nearby state park with a friend, had breakfast and coffee, and wasted at least 30 mins on the boards.

Today:

Deskwork - school stuff, budget, log tutoring sessions, email

Haircuts for me and Ds

New running shoes for Ds

Thrift store

Not sure what dinner is. Took ground beef out of the freezer.

Home from my visit; every time I go, I remind myself I need to do it more often. It's only an hour away. I really should go at least once/month. At least. It was so good to see her.

Stopped at the quilt shop and got the fabric I wanted. And stuck to just that.

Skipped Joann's b/c DH wanted me to come home and go to the grocery store with him instead of going on my own.

Having coffee now and will go to the store here shortly w/DH to get the few things we need.

YNAB did some weird stuff. opened the wrong budget, an archived one, so all the work I just did is wasted. Argh!!!

Not fixing it now. No patience or concentration for that. Will try again early tomorrow.

Time to do chores, errands etc. I think a school schedule is deep within me. At 3:00, it's time to NOT be doing deskwork. M mind a nd body rebel against that sort of work at this hour of the day.

My brain seems to shut off around 3, too, Scout. Hopefully tomorrow you can put right all the budget stuff that YNAB messed up. 😞

DH and I went to the grocery store, got all that put away (his list grows exponentially every time he sets foot inside....another reason I need to switch to curbside only).

It's raining/just stopped, but poured on us while out/about.  We very much do NOT  need it.

Put clothes into the dryer; that's the last of what needs washing (yay) and now I have 2 loads waiting to be folded (oops).

Going to veg out a little while and then cook dinner.

Well, my dd went to visit her bestie overnight. I just couldn't nap, so hoping I sleep well tonight. I made dinner every night this week, the full spread, so we have lots of leftovers and salad. Apparently when my son was in recovery he was texting his sister how much he loves her and was being all sappy 🤣. She is NOT sappy, but humored him.

I found out I'm on gma duty everyday but Tuesday (and maybe Monday if he's not recovered enough to watch the baby) next week. I graciously shared the load by giving my dd Sunday lol

Got a bunch of electronic chores done.

Dinner was fine, though poor in comparison with last night’s steakhouse feast.

Ran some laundry and made tea. About to read.
