Good morning!

Kelly -- @BlsdMama -- oh, congratulations!! Praying for a safe, smooth delivery & healthy baby!

@ScoutTN -- that seems hot for your area. yowsers.

My day today:
....coffee
....find out if I'm going to work with the little boy today or not
....decide if I'm going to go next week or not
....work with the little boy, if so
....put away the laundry that I folded yesterday
....fold the ones from the dryer, put those away too
....go get the last of the things I need for school prep
....make the master list of things to do before the 1st day
....start working on it
....figure out dinner? lunch?
...see if I can talk The People into Ikea today instead of tomorrow (DH thinks they'll be equal crowded, I think less crowded today)
...otherwise, hang out after dinner
...whatever other zillion things I'm forgetting

Good morning everyone. Today's plan:

Work in my classroom

Cook dinner-pancakes and bacon

Clean the bathrooms

Laundry

Whatever else gets done

Okay, Yes, going to the little boy's house. I think I will ask the mom if she's okay with this being our last session, or does she want to do one next week to wrap up, but that I can't do the whole week. I have got to finish school prep, and need time to go visit my grandma before school starts.

So, new plan for the day:
....go work with the little boy
....come home,
....make my master list for the next few weeks
....fix some lunch, eat lunch, take a nap
...go to the grocery store
....put away the laundry
....start working on the list
....dinner, veg out

Ikea will be tomorrow, but during the day, so that works.

Howdie, happy Thursday!

I've been pretty unproductive this week.  My puppy is now a "house dog," but he still needs 100% supervision when not in an enclosed space.  And he has developed a habit of barking when left alone in one of his enclosed play areas.  So I've been encouraging the kids to play with him much of the day, but that means they aren't doing anything else that I want them to do.  And in the evenings, I feel like I should do my share and sit with the pup for the last hour or so, but then they suck me into a movie/show until it's too late to do math.  😕  I mean, the family time is nice, but our one relatively free month is about to end, and we have way too much left to do.

Done today:

  • Kid1 to horse riding.
  • A tiny bit of housework.
  • Made a donation.
  • Caught up on calendar, emails, news, and social media.

To do:

  • Lots of client work.  I have several deadlines and I'm behind again.  😕
  • Should wash a load of laundry to ensure kid has soccer socks among other things ....
  • Really need to do some freaking exercise.
  • Pup duty and housework.
  • Kid1 to soccer.
  • Make the kids do math and extra math!  And they should really start writing their English assignment!
  • Whatever else gets done.

I teach K, 1st, and 2nd at our homeschool co-op/enrichment center. It's not a true co-op, in that parents pay tuition (directly to each teacher) vs. volunteering/helping teach. So, my classes meet once/week each (Mon morning K, Mon afternoon 1st, Weds morning 2nd). Our co-op offers classes through high school, the teachers teach that one day/week and then assign stuff for at home for the rest of the time. I absolutely love it (and apparently I am well liked; I had to add 2 more spots in K and 1st; K is maxed at 12, 1st is sitting at 10 with a possible 11th; 2nd grade is my smallest class with 7 so far....).

I've done at-home preK for one kiddo (the now-5 yr old I was working with this past year), and then the little boy from this morning is a boy with autism that his mom just wanted someone spending one-on-one time with, so even though I have zero qualifications there (and was very very very upfront about that), he liked me when he met me and so I got the job. He's going back to school week after next, so we'll be done for the school year, but she said today hopefully we pick back up next summer.

Oh, and ha, still also hs'ing my youngest, who is starting 10th grade this year. But the co-op teaching has been truly awesome. I adore kindergarteners.

Home from working with the little boy; mom & I agreed on Tues being my last day (he returns to school week after that, and I have teacher in service, orientation, and then school starting all right after that).

Need to answer an email/make a phone call, then lunch, then nap, then grocery store, then laundry.

How exciting @BlsdMama

Praying for all the good things!

Busy day today and ds didn't sleep well and ate too much pasta.

Therapy at now

Ups drop off returns

Get gas at the supermarket's gas station across the street from the new supermarket and gas station. 🙃

Grocer

Have D's try to reorder new school clothes... yesterday the site erased everything and then had issues.

Amazon order for ds school stuff

Ds haircut

Cold dinner?

Too much heat. So gross and so hot and humid.

Hope y'all are having a great day!

Okay, made the list.....either I'm forgetting tons and am in big trouble, or I don't have as much to do as I thought (for getting ready for school). Is this what happens when you are on your 4th year....? You have so much figured out that prepping doesn't take forever??

Good afternoon!

@BlsdMama, that is amazing news! Praying all goes well!

I upped the melatonin a bit last night and slept some better.

It is hot here in Illinois, too! We visited Lincoln’s tomb and the Presidential museum today. It was all very well done.

We are beat and came back to rest.

I need to send out some information emails to my families for this year.

Grocery shopped, put away groceries, DH has a plan for dinner, made my master list, HEB did not have the mats I need, so will check the big HEB tomorrow when I'm out that way.

I still need to do laundry stuff, but I think that's everything for today....??
