Oh, wow! I'd have to take off tutoring during VBS week if I were helping -- nothing left after VBS to give to others. Will pray for you!

My day today:
....coffee
....figure out if I should take more headache medicine or not (lingering migrainie thing)
....finish hole-punching/assembling the timeline books, see how many more I need to print, print those
....see what else I need to print (sight word lists, but I may do it differently this year, so figure that out)
....start organizing my teacher binder that I take to/from
....put away clean laundry
....lunch....?
....dinner -- probably use up the leftover pork, if DH & I can agree on how
....whatever else I'm forgetting

Have a good day!

@TheReader  VBS is a somewhat scaled-back version. Only two hours. And I have great high school boys as helpers. And time for lunch and a break at home before tutoring.

The summer has been so choppy at times with tutoring sessions cancelled for trips - mine and students’ - that I want to keep the routine whenever possible. Plus, we need the money. Ds’ tuition is substantially higher this year.

That all makes perfect sense (and I get it, I'm sticking with tutoring instead of helping at VBS this year, though 2 of my boys are). Ours is not scaled back, so just sucks so much out of me.  I was just impressed with your stamina!

Friend’s last day visiting with us. ♥️ So we’re headed to the park this morning with other friends.
Ran to town for a few groceries this AM - another friend’s birthday is tomorrow, so need GF cake mix for 🧁

Lunch and relaxed rest of the day

Grilled chicken thighs, garden potatoes, veggies tonight.

Pretty chill day ahead. 😊

Good morning! I slept much longer last night but did wake up some. Thankfully, I wasn’t awake long. I’m going to continue the melatonin while we travel this week.

We are headed to see a very old covered bridge. Then we’ll explore a small town with neat shops and restaurants. We might take a short hike at a state park this afternoon.

Dropped DH's car off for new tires, came home, took meds, took a nap. Now eating some food, and DH has a meeting at 11:00, and then they already called that his car is ready, so we'll go get it after that/after the boys are back from VBS (depending how long his meeting runs).

Now to work on the printing and such. Going to be a slow-moving day b/c of the headache. I feel some better but not all the way, as is normal.

Might be near the end of this horrible IBS attack🙏

Finally took a shower and washed my hair.

Hoping youngest will come with me to grocer if I don't have any "issues" pop up

Dd signs her contract for her big girl college graduate job this afternoon !

Oldest won't stop bugging me about watching granddaughter

So behind on to do list. Youngest starts senior year next week 😱

Amy, love the new pic!

Glad your car is fixed Reader

Finished hole-punching and assembling the timelines that I had printed. Need to print the rest.

Looked over all of the "need to print" for start of school things, and wrote down which pages to print, when, and have that ready to go. I'm doing the sight word books differently this year, so will do the appropriate list, during the appropriate month. The parents' feedback on that is that they want a little more oversight (some of them). This will provide that.

With my car back, "Ikea is back on the menu, boys!" Not sure if we'll go today or another day, but one day this week. Finally, yay!

I need to wash some clothes; the VBS helping boys want to wear their VBS shirt every day, as asked.

Howdie!  Missed posting yesterday.  My Sunday was mostly pup duty/training and a visit to my folks.

Monday:  really unproductive and relatively quiet so far.

Done:

  • Slept in.
  • Very long phone call with my sister.
  • Took my kid to order new lenses for her glasses.
  • A little client work and pup duty.

To do:

  • Client work.
  • Evening pup duty.
  • Make the kids do some productive things - housework, math, English, maybe more.
  • Maybe play a game with the kids.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Printed three more sets of timelines.

Washed clothes, put away half of the clean clothes.

Dinner is cooking (veggie medley to which I will add the leftover pork loin).

Goofed off/played video games with DH for a while.

Sat outside while he did sprinkler stuff....it is HOT. I came in.

I think we decided Friday for Ikea, since the kids have VBS M-Th this week.

Got some emails, answered them, etc.

Talked to my mom on the phone.

Napped lots.

Will eat dinner, then veg out, probably with TV -- DH wants to catch some of the Olympics, and then also we'll maybe watch another episode of Sweet Tooth.

Dinner ended up being tacos bc that is what I had ready.

Did some prep cooking, including putting chx that I had intended to make tonight into the marinade. Packed my lunch for tomorrow and tidied the kitchen.

Confirmed some schedule details for tomorrow.

Did tutoring lesson prep

Still left to do: VBS prep

Headed to bed with a book after that.

Should go for a walk, but it is icky hot and humid and I don’t want to get all sweaty.

@MooCow, I pray you feel better soon!

@TheReader, I’m glad IKEA is back on. Love the LOTR reference! How’s your head?

We enjoyed our day, but we are tired!

We loved the bridge, the shopping, and the hiking. It was a very hot day, so the heat zapped us.
