school17777 Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Suggestions welcome. I got an Amazon Firestick from Prime day and finally activated it this evening. To activate it, you go to an Amazon website. I typed that in my browser and thought I was at the right place, but after I “signed in” with my Amazon credentials and then gave my cc info, I realized it wasn’t really Amazon and I signed up for some monthly subscription. I’ve been on hold with my credit card company for over an hour without talking to a person. I changed my Amazon password. Any other ideas? Quote
sgo95 Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Can you log into your credit card account online? You might be able to dispute the charge all online. If there is a possibility that you gave your credit card information to a site that's not legitimate, you should be able to put your credit card on hold (freeze it) or cancel it online too. Quote

My Dh takes care of that account, so I don’t have any of the login information. I’ve been trying to explain to him what happened. I think he’s changing it now, but he still doesn’t understand. Somehow, it got our password to the cc account even though I don’t have it saved on my device. This company sent me my account info to this subscription and it’s the same password to our cc. I checked my saved passwords and i don’t have it saved. Quote
