Jump in vs EIW vs Wordsmith

We have finally decided on Build Your Library 7 for our 7th grade year. I'd like to add an open and go writing program. She wants to be able to write across the curriculum and I want something to help us with structure. I love the idea of The Writing Revolution, I just don't have the time this year to really flesh it out and make it work for us.

Would any of these programs work for our needs?

- Structure ( how to write an essay, book report, persuasive paper, ect)

-Open and go

-Freedom to occasionally pick your own topics

Bump! Anyone have a writing program they felt worked really well with Build Your Library?

Of these, I’ve only done Jump In. I use it in seventh grade and really like it. I think you could use it in the way you want.
