PeterPan Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 Has anyone tried Abena Abri-Flex? I'm seeing it on amazon and some other vendors. We've been using Depends Night Defense for ds12 but he's soaking through them in a big way with his growth spurt. Supposedly the capacity on the Depends ND is 25-30 oz and the capacity on the Abena Abri-Flex would be 64 or 81 oz depending on the size. He's a S/M in the Depends, so I need to measure to see what he would be. Are these any good? Any other brand you'd recommend? I could also try a booster pad while we're finishing the box of Depends we're on. The Abena one seemed to have mixed reviews. Any suggestions? Quote
Ottakee Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 Flow through pads can be very helpful. Also, if you can afford to double up, you can cut a slit in the inner one, maybe 6 inches or so long in the heaviest wetting area, and then put a second brief over the top. If he tends to leak out the top, put flow through pads in the front in a T shape as that can help as well. I work with special needs kids and young adult students who are totally incontinent and have learned a lot of tricks. 1 Quote

You're right, the slit would make a big difference!!! So how do you find flow through pads? Or basically anything that says booster is a flow through? I need to try again. I do want to try some other brand, because I'd like us to get closer to dry, sigh. It makes travel hard when he's soaking through every night. Well thanks for the tips!!! Quote
