Who texted Cap?

When Peggy died someone texted Cap to tell him, though they had no ties. Who was it? Personally, I've always thought it was Cap. I think he knew everything because Cap told him, and he was just waiting to get back to her.

I assumed it was her niece, who had been Steve's neighbor/agent keeping an eye on him in a previous film.

He didn't know that Sharon was Peggy's niece until the funeral. I assumed it was the nursing home/hospital staff. He had been visiting her there, they must have known who he was.

They wouldn't have texted.

I think most likely it's irrelevant. No thought behind it. Except that it was Cap.

That's an interesting question. Maybe Jarvis, Stark's butler. They may have remained friends throughout their lifetime. But you're probably right. Cap kept going back in time so maybe during one of those times, he texted himself about it.

My breakfast table wants to throw Nick Fury in to the mix. They think he was alive at that point (although that is likely irrelevant), and he had that magic texting capability that he used to contact Captain Marvel - although he waited too long in that case.
