Good morning!

We head back to our old hometown today to see ds this weekend.

We need to stop by the post office in our new hometown and pick up the mail.

We’ll stop by the storage facility to check on our things there, too.

I have a phone call this afternoon with one of my math student’s mom to discuss her younger son’s math situation.

I’m not sure what else the day will hold.

Good morning! It is yet another rainy day here....my grandma said yesterday "I think I'm growing web feet!" (we've been in nonstop rain for.....two weeks now??? it's crazy)

My day today:

....coffee
....tutor the 5 yr old (resuming for July)
....remember to print the registration papers for them, just in case they didn't print it and want it
....come home, DH is picking up stuff for tonight's dinner while he run errands
....fold/put away laundry waiting on me
....wash the remaining laundry (one load)
....finish tweaking the K science & history schedule
....message the homeschool mom up the street and see if she wants to brave the drizzle and come look at the books I'm getting rid of
....dinner: beef stroganoff
....after dinner: Black Widow -- yay!!!!!
....anything I'm forgetting

Have a good Friday!

@TheReader, we can’t wait for Black Widow!!

BIL has responded well to the pneumonia treatment. They did an MRI, and has had a new small stroke. They will do scans and look for blockages.

We got the mail and forgot to stop at the storage facility.

We’re in Atlanta traffic. We will be so glad to live north of here and rarely have to deal with it again!

We're super excited about it! DH is loving the whole Disney+ option thing.

And I'm so glad your BIL is responding well to the treatment! Praying the stroke doesn't leave any lasting damage or anything, and that he recovers well from that side of things too.

Home from tutoring the 5 yr old; dropped off the registration paperwork with them for her to officially sign up for my K class for the fall.  DH had switched the radio to my favorite station since he knew I'd be home before him ❤️  (we leave it on for the dogs)

Grabbing lunch, starting laundry, and then will work on K science stuff &/or nap depending how I feel in a bit. It's still raining.

Dd is planning a movie date with friends next week to see Black Widow. My kids are deep into Marvel movies.
Disney + has been a good deal for us. Worth every penny.

YES! DH says he doubts we'll ever go back to movies in theaters (for us personally).

Even before covid, we rarely went to the theater for movies. Very few movies are really worth the $ to see on the big screen. We did splurge on some Star Wars movies to see at the Imax and the effects were super cool in 3D.

Same; really just the big Marvel movies we'd go see (but on Tuesdays, when our theater had half price tickets), but mostly we'd wait and watch them at home. DH has been wishing for direct-to-streaming for ages -- it's the one good thing (in his opinion) to have come out of Covid. He's so delighted we can watch pretty much everything this way now, from now on.

Not to mention yummy snacks for all for a tiny fraction of the theater price! and watching in jammies!

Howdie, happy Friday!  I guess I'd better get some work out or I'll regret a very unproductive week!

Done:

  • Slept in, yay!
  • Shower & hair wash.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media.
  • A very small amount of client work, house work, and pup stuff.

To do:

  • Lots more client work.
  • Dinner out.
  • Make the kids do math.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Good luck with the linen organization, @ScoutTN!

Finished lunch, started laundry, folded both loads that were waiting on me, rescued our trash can from the street (it got so windy that it blew open the lid of the big heavy trash can....??).

Next up - swap laundry to the dryer, and put away the clean dishes

Linen closet done!

A quilt and a wool blanket going elsewhere for storage, probably under a bed. Old, ratty sheets culled out. Nice bed skirt and mattress pad going to other people.

Every shelf is labeled and nothing is in there that we do not actually need and use.

Dd is ordering a new set of sheets for herself bc hers are old and mismatched.

A temporary victory over entropy. A chance to use my label maker. Less stuff in my house. These things make me happy. 😉😎🎈

I almost forgot that my kid had soccer camp tonight.  Oops!  Luckily, she remembered.  Well, at 14, it should be her responsibility anyway....

I finished the client work that was most important for today.

I also did a lot of filing of old stuff in my work e-inbox.  So now I'm down to "only" 1,800 inbox items, the oldest of which "only" goes back 4 years.  😕  Believe it or not, this is progress.

@ScoutTN, maybe I could hire you to come help me organize my new house.

We went to the theater a couple of weeks ago. We saw A Quiet Place 2. I had high expectations for what it would be like to be back but it was sort of a let down.

Laundry is going, and we’re watching a Madam Secretary

Dinner out was so-so. Too expensive for what we got and slooow service.

Ds is home. He had a great time, but lost two pairs of shoes, two shirts, brand new sunglasses, and a towel. Sigh.

Watching The King and I with kids.

P.S. I cannot stand to ever have more than about 20 emails in my inbox. Ever.
