If you are working on the 1000 hours outside challenge, are you counting time spent sleeping in a tent? I hadn’t planned on it and dh can’t believe I wouldn’t count it. I’m curious about what others think. I know there are no actual “rules”, but I hate to think I’m padding my numbers. I’ve heard others say outside count if a bear could eat you, ok yes. I’ve also heard if a bird could poop on you, in that case no. Sorry, just passing the time until the kids wake up. The baby woke me to nurse and a skunk just passed by. 😳 I’m wide awake at this point.

I am absolutely counting it.😀🏕️.

I also counted the hours I spend working on my computer on my deck.  I realize that the original purpose of the challenge was to get the 3-12 year old set off electronics and outside playing.....but this momma has to work to pay the bills so it counts.

I just crossed 600 hours yesterday.  Planning a backpacking trip next week so that should get me 48+ hours quickly as well.

I easily spend 2-3 hours outside when the weather is nice because I garden and we treat our patio like a living room.  However,I’d have to seriously pad my numbers to make up for winter hibernation. Camping would do it. 🤣

Time in a tent,  yes. Even if it's your own backyard, you're still in the great outdoors.

I'm not counting running errands, which is not everyday anyway. I do count sitting out on the patio or exercising outside.
