It came back above our purchase price which is unusual so that was very good.

We only have on hurdle left and that is the termite inspection which takes place tomorrow. As long as that is good, we are set for closing on July 23.

My grandson, who doesn't know the house comes with a tree house, has been bouncing off the walls according to dd because he just can't wait to have a yard of his very own. He also told her that when they have saved up enough money to buy their own home, it must be on the same road as this one, and not too far away so he can walk to Papa Mark and Marmee's house. That really warmed my heart. He called me yesterday to talk about his favorite book. It hard to wait the five years until Mark retires so we can permanently move. He will be 10.5 years old by then, and his little brother will be 5.5. Ugh. They grow too fast!

In other news, mother in law had another appointment with her audiologist and that did not go well. I think she is going to be totally deaf by Christmas. She does not read lips or know any sign language so this is getting super difficult.

Congratulations on the house. And when I read  “Marmee” I had a bit of an epiphany: pronounced with a New England accent, that is the same as “Mommy!”  All this time I’ve pronounced it with a hard R. Silly me.

So happy for you and your grandsons. A tree house. Wow!

A couple thoughts on MIL. Writing seems like it will be a critical way to communicate.

And easy slate option seems like a BoogieBoard LCD slate like these:

Another (more expensive) option is an iPad and an Apple pencil. Good if user loves to read but needs to blow up the text side.

Bill

Thank you Bill! I am going to check that out!
