Wednesday rolls around again. I do enjoy the alliteration of "welcome to Wednesday."

These threads are for those who'd like accountability and encouragement in doing intentional daily movement. Anyone may join in at any time!

Still not enough sleep, but I was prompted to roll out of bed more or less on time by the need to check on a wheezing cat. (He seems "fine," by the way. He's older and has always been cranky and somewhat reclusive. So, hard to tell how he really feels, but he is breathing normally and responding to me when I interact with him. We'll keep an eye on him.)

Walked 4.1K and then did legs and arms.

We have done some more unpacking and work on the house that is bringing me closer to being able to set up the stationary bike and mini-trampoline in their designated spots in the bedroom/exercise space. I'm looking forward to having opportunities for a little more variety in my routine. I'm also hoping that the storage bin with my weights and bands and such will turn up as we excavate the stacks of boxes still in the garage.

In the meantime, I'll try for the usual evening walk to finish off whatever steps are left on my daily goal.

Additional tidbit: I'm logging all my miles for the year in a how-far-can-you-go challenge virtually walking across the United States. I just caught up on logging the last few days and discovered that I have gone over 1,000 miles since January.

Gym time- done.  Today was more arms, legs and abs.  My arms are a bit sore and I know if I didn’t work them out again, tomorrow will be worse.  Hopefully, after doing some heavy gardening and cleaning I can get in a bit of yoga today.  I wasn’t flexible in my childhood and have been really working on it for the last 4 years.  I want to keep up all my gains.

I need to get way more intentional about this again.

Very cool! I've looked at a few virtual challenges here and there, and I probably just need to pick one and try it.

Do you generally use a schedule?

Gym, gardening, cleaning,  and even possibly yoga sounds like a very full day of movement to me! And yoga is amazing. I have less back pain in my 50s than I did in my 20s, and  I am super casual about it.

In a way. I tend to do certain things each week but add/switch it up according to how I feel and what I want.

Very little movement today. Tired and it's raining. I may try to get in a token walk if the rain lifts at 7ish. Monday I did a solid aerobic workout and yesterday I did weight training and core work. Tomorrow I will do weight training and I hope to get in a long power walk first thing on Friday. I find that if I don't work out first thing it's a bust.

I've walked about 175 miles.  I'm hoping to get to 500 miles by the end of the year.
