Tackling Wednesday Together

Good morning! 

I woke up early and made dh breakfast. Then, I went back to sleep for a bit. The listing should go live sometime today if the pictures are ready. 

• meals
• finish laundry room
• do laundry
• tidy to keep house "show ready" 
• church 
• continue in some of the series I'm currently watching

Good morning, Amy!  Exciting that the house is going live already -- you guys are moving fast!  Also -- what series are you watching? I'm always on the hunt for new stuff.....

 

My list today:
....coffee
....read on the Autism book
....sew
....wash jeans, then other laundry
....lunch/dinner??? 
....put away/organize all of the photos and stuff we pulled out to redo the graduation frames
....order the one more picture that DH wants to add to one of the frames, have him pick it up on his way out/about later
....show DS shoes online so he can see if he wants to try shoe shopping again or he can be happy with what he got
....anything else I'm forgetting

@TheReader, dh and I watch Madam Secretary together (Netflix) as well as Modern Family (Peacock). I'm watching The Crown (Netflix), Little House on the Prairie (Peacock), and Parks and Rec (Peacock). I feel like it gives me a variety to choose from based on my mood.

Dreary all day rain today. Bah! No pool for Ds. I left him a list of things to do to earn some screen time.

I am working at church, then tutoring.

Emailed my grandma back -- we're trying to coordinate a shopping date

Called a friend that called/left a message yesterday; now I left her a message -- this is one of the grown-ups to the 5 yr old, so not sure what's up; DH keeps teasing she's calling to fire me (ha! I don't think so, but it does make me wonder....)

Started jeans in the wash, and checked the size, so I can order DS some new pairs

Okay, ordered the jeans, got the last 2 pair. I hope DH is right that he needs the next size up.

oh, whew, the friend called back, it was just to confirm the summer schedule we'd agreed on -- June off (minus that this Friday is already paid for, so I'll come then, take a break, resume when they say come back/probably after July 4th) 

*now* getting some food and reading the next Autism chapter

The second load of laundry is in the dryer and a third is in the washer. 

I still need to do just a bit more in the laundry room. 

We got to see some of the pictures of the house. I'm trying out a site to share them without giving the full listing. Will you guys try this link and see if it works? I've loaded 3 pictures.

it worked for me, though I had to set up an account. But it did show the pictures labeled "house" 🙂  And I don't know if now as I am part of the shared folder you have my name, which I guess I need to edit on my profile. I don't know if it shows you, us, when we join or not. 

Your house is lovely, and I imagine it will sell quickly!

It does show me your name. I was able to go into my info and edit my name and user name so that my last name didn't show. I had to do it up at the top where it says my info.

Well, oldest is on his way home (should be here shortly) which is a huge YAY!!!!  (but also, can I just admit here, my other boys got DH & I addicted to Stardew Valley video game, the 4 of us have been playing a few hours a day every day while he's been gone, and.......we can't play when he gets back, 'cause it's only 4 player. And I am SOOOOO glad he's coming home, but kinda bummed also....) 

Anyway,  almost done sorting the pictures we pulled out yesterday. 

Jeans are done, sheets are in the dryer. 

The jeans I ordered got cancelled, b/c they weren't actually in stock ??? 

DH is cooking tacos for dinner, since Oldest is likely to be pretty hungry after a week+ of camp food. 

And DH just said from the kitchen, "maybe if he goes to bed early we can play....."  We are the worlds worst parents. 

I never did go up and sew, though.....tomorrow.

Dd has the week off that ds goes to a beach retreat with the church, so we are talking about going somewhere with her. It would be nice to have time with just her!

I am seriously LOL'ing at the fact you are cheering with me and totally ignoring my "bad mom award" confession! LOL!!!! 

Anyway, he's home (yay!!) and he's staying home this summer instead of working camp after all, which is a mixed bag (not because of video games) but mostly good.  One HUGELY good thing about that is what a sign of growth it is for him, of all my kids, to be able to stand up and say "this is what I need for me right now" and stick to that, even though he's letting folks down (or thinks he is). HUGE. Huge growth. I'm so stinking proud of him. 

So now he's home, and the summer can start, and life will be back to normal.

Howdie, better late than never!

Today was pretty busy early on, then not so productive later.

Done:

• Up in the wee hours organizing for sanity's sake.
• Slept about 2 hours?
• Pup duty from 6:30am to 6pm kuz everyone else had to work etc.
• Cleaned part of the garage.
• Took out the garbage.
• Kids to school on time for their 1st day of finals, yay!
• Cleaned up the dog poo.
• Sent out some work stuff.
• Canceled kids' Walgreens shots kuz I rescheduled at CVS.
• Communicated with new pup training place.
• Dealt with weekly lawn guys.
• Worked with landscaping guys.
• A little reading.
• Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
• Napped from about 6-8pm.

I did forget my kid's trumpet lesson because everything was weird.  My kid fell asleep and woke up at 5:30 asking why we didn't go to the 5pm lesson.  Ugh!  This is not like me!  I apologized and the teacher said he was OK with it, but still.  😕

Now it's close to midnight, and I am going to try to do some more organizing before sleeping.
