Lori D.
When DS#1 was dorm living: In a plastic tub (that could be used for dish-washing), I sent a small amount of kitchen items (small cutting board, 2 sizes of knives, wooden spoon and spatula, 2-cup and 4-cup pyrex measuring cups that could also be used for microwaving), plus a plate, coffee mug, and a single setting of flatware. He went out and bought plastic forks and paper plates, as he didn't want to bother with washing. And went with dorm meals or store-bought convenience meals for microwaving. So he never used any of the items I sent. 😉 So while that's not very environmentally friendly, there is a good chance that college students who are in that type of setting, esp. for just 1 month, may prefer to not have to bother with anything beyond disposable, and pre-packaged meals. 😉 Edited May 19, 2021 by Lori D.
