Coeal
Hello, I’m really hoping this helps. I have a 3 year old son, was throwing up, with a fever and took him to dr where they said “stomach bug”. Then he was getting worse and worse, took him to the Er where they found pneumonia in the left lung. He got antibiotics and seemed okay. Flash forward to 15 days later, my baby sitter gives me a call, he’s throwing up, feeling yucky, take him to a new dr, again, stomach bug. Flash 3 weeks, we’re in the Children’s Er with fever, throwing up, diarrhea and they’re saying stomach bug. How can we truly know if it is stomach bug if no ones listening to us. He shouldn’t get a stomach bug 3 times within 1.5 months right?
EKS
Pneumonia can cause vomiting. Are you sure the pneumonia has completely resolved?

Is he still growing? Does he seem to have allergies? Did the doctors see signs of post nasal drip? That can make kids very sick to their stomachs too. Generally you'll get referred to a gastro specialist if he gets sick again in the next 6 weeks or stops growing. It's possible he has another problem, like an intolerance, or even a food allergy that was brought on by antibiotics. I would stick to a bland, BRAT style diet, and be very slow when adding in additional foods as he gets better. Especially anything with corn syrup, high in fat, dairy, or even with something like onions.
Catwoman
Welcome to the forum, Coeal! I’m sorry your first post had to be about such a serious subject, and I hope you can get your son in to see a pediatric gastroenterologist very soon, so you can figure out what’s going on.
