I've not responded to one of these before (well, in my defense, I've been away from the boards a LONG time).  Today isn't planned to be the most productive days.  Mostly, we are looking at:

  • basic morning chores
  • breakfast
  • pack lunch and snacks for the day
  • FASD support group at a local botanical gardens
  • Swimming this afternoon
  • Simple supper
  • Early to bed for Mom!

Hi, Pamela! Welcome to our little thread/group!

Today I have:
....coffee
...shop/plan/shop for my party (end of year school parties with my K/1st, and then 2nd graders)
...help 20 yr old study for his gov't test
...NOT do any laundry, b/c my husband and the guys did ALL OF THE LAUNDRY yesterday while I was at school. ALL of it. A zillion loads. I almost cried.
...figure out dinner (maybe veggie lasagna finally)
....after dinner, maybe TV...?
...tidy up the donated books/stuff at some point
...anything I'm forgetting

Have a good Thursday, everyone!

Pamela, welcome!! We're glad to have you here.

Reader, that is awesome! I would have cried or at least fallen over in shock if my guys did all the laundry on their own. Dh is good to help out with dishes, although not consistently.

I have my handouts for the workshop ready.

I got things ready for my student coming at noon.

Amy, YES. I nearly did. He's prone to *washing/drying* all the laundry, and then I come home to baskets upon baskets upon baskets of stuff for me to fold all at once. And then he's super proud/happy he "did the laundry" and I'm just annoyed/overwhelmed that now I have to fold/put away all the laundry, all at once, instead of a basket at  a time between doing other things.  So the fact they did ALL of it -- hung up, folded, DONE -- shock is an appropriate word, for sure.

Howdy, happy Thursday!

I've been a little productive this morning!  Better than usual for this not-a-morning-person.

The kids are both at school, yay, and my pup duty is reduced since there are now 2 other able adults to tag team with.

Done:

  • Client work / tedious project sent out, yay!
  • Kids to school on time, yay!  They got up early because #1 wanted to wash her hair and #2 can't ride her horse tonight if she gets another tardy.
  • Washed some dishes.
  • A little pup stuff.
  • Made the bed.
  • Caught up on calendar, emails, news, social media, and checked the kids' grades.
  • 2 coffees so far.

To do:

  • More coffee.
  • Lots more client work.
  • A little reading, exercise.
  • Some personal organization on breaks.
  • Kid2 to horse riding.
  • Make the kids finish homework / study, clean up after themselves, figure out dinner.
  • More pup stuff.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Okay, popping in to update.

Made it to the store and successfully, so far on budget (ahem; still have to buy the food), bought all the things for the party (decor, paper goods, gift bag stuff for the kiddos)

Picked up lunch, came home, ate, napped

Heading up to work with the 20 yr old -- wish us luck

finished helping 20 yr old study; fingers crossed he does okay on the test

leftovers in abundance for dinner

DH helped DS research for his geography project

I need to go out and bring in my stuff from the car, but can work on that tomorrow -- no 5 yr old this week, and lunch with my mom is postponed, so I have a more or less free day tomorrow (very minimal prep work for K/1st on Monday)

Huge rainstorm at dinner time, so the meeting was in Zoom, but still good. Plenty of work accomplished and lots of laughter too.

Never got math checked. Tomorrow, early!

Next up, hot tea and a book.
