Howdie, happy Tuesday!

I'm on pup duty all day again.  Should be able to delegate some, but after yesterday's sock-eating incident, will I be able to step back mentally?

Kids don't have school, because it's voting day here.  Kid1 needs to do practice test(s) for the state Algebra test that she's taking tomorrow.

I already started client work and housework, yay!  I will probably be craving a nap before long though.

I don't think I have any "deadlines" today, but I have tons of work that needs doing.  So whatever progress I make is probably not gonna be enough.

I'll be without a car for part of the day ... not sure how long.  Hopefully nothing stupid happens during that time frame.

And it's still rainy and cloudy.  Oh well.

Have a good day, everyone!

Hi all! I have a less busy day than I thought, so that's good.

Today I have:
...coffee
...prep for 2nd grade tomorrow
...tidy the area around my "desk" -- DH found a lizard on my chair yesterday, but during a meeting, so couldn't catch & release it, and so it's still somewhere in the house. I have a LOT of good "lizard hiding space" stuff by my chair, so.....will clean up in hopes of either finding him, or making less spaces for him to hide. Because while I love lizards, I do not really want to be surprised by one.
....help DS make flashcards/study for his Biology test
...go through/tidy up some school stuff that was given to me for my classes -- sort into keep/pass on to others piles
....(meekly) Laundry??? I am either totally on top of laundry, or completely buried by it......today, buried by it. :sigh:  I asked for "we will do the laundry" for mother's day, but I don't see that happening, so.....
....figure out dinner; it's Star Wars Day, so gotta come up with a themed meal
....anything else I'm forgetting

Littles helped me clean up the kitchen, make coffee and eggs while the big kids hit the gym with Dad this morning. I’ve forgotten how much little kids can do, lol! 😉 😊

Coffee & Get Dressed

Drive DD to town for her Spanish 2 oral final

Meet with our supervising teacher

Rained yesterday so I get to keep two of my teens for another day of spring cleaning and prep for the grad party.

On the list - move a small tree and dig out two disappointments

Teens -Spread the last of the mulch - another 20 yards. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Windows - In and Out

Take DD to the rescheduled podcast interview

Swing by the event shop for a tent for the grad party

Well, I spent the morning in Pinterest-land, looking up options for our end of the year party that aren't K Graduation parties. Found some cute stuff, but took WAAAAAY too long doing it.

While sitting there doing it, the lizard plopped down onto my lap, from I guess under the table??? Egad. DH got him and relocated him outside.

Had an email from a parent re: testing her 2nd grader, so sent a lengthy reply back (oh, just heard back, she's opting for the easier of all of the options I sent, thank goodness). That took a while to research, though.

NOW I'm going to eat some food, prep my class, make flashcards with DS, etc, etc., etc.

DH & I figured out the food -- "Master Yoda Stew" that I found a few years ago, blueberry milk (for the blue milk), "light saber shish kebabs" (red ones and blue ones) (so, thinking strawberries on a skewer, blueberries on a skewer). I think that should be good.

Did school stuff with DS

Prepped 2nd grade

Went to the store with DH

The lizard landed on my leg earlier, so I am postponing the "clean up the stuff by the side of the desk area" until school's out (it's all "stuff I sometimes need for school" stuff, so....)

Going to do a quick glance through the donated stuff and see if there's anything I can use for the craft I picked out for tomorrow, and if not, go back to the store, because clearly I cannot plan things well. :sigh:

I am still avoiding the laundry. The people are not running around unclothed yet so I think I'm good.

Tutored the afternoon student

Reserved a few tables and chairs for the party, went and paid for them in person to save a rather large credit card fee

Dinner

Planned the lessons for tomorrow

GF pasta in the soup was mushy, but the salad made with our first spring CSA box veggies was yummy.

Had a work Zoom for my church job.

Endured a massive meltdown when Ds did not get more computer time.

Very stressed now and having a hard time winding down after an argument with Dh. Dh is an emotion-stuffer and I am a verbal processor. Bad combo. I’m trying to change, but not succeeding. So hard.

Gonna make some tea and try to read.

Done prepping/packing for tomorrow

The store run for the one item for the craft took 3 stops -- apparently sticky glow-in-the-dark stars are hard to find???

Came home, 20 yr old had not done ANYTHING on his paper (when I left, he was "getting ready to take notes" on a 10 minute portion of a 24 min video; roughly 2 hours later, he "was working on taking notes on the video"). :sigh: and also :head bang:  What on earth.

While out & about, got a text from our cell carrier -- when our credit card had fraud activity a while back, we missed changing over some things to the new card. But then cc kept paying for a while, and then eventually we'd get an email from various places we missed and know "Oh, shoot, we forgot to change that."  Only, our cell carrier never emailed us, and so instead, they shut off my service (while I was out and about) and needed me to pay via the automated system (a 2 or 3 month late bill). I did not, b/c I thought this was surely an error, but it also kind of panicked me.

Came home, realized what happened (why didn't they ever email us??), called and sorted it out. Good grief.

Had dinner, going to hopefully watch something/relax with DH; he's in a mood b/c of the 20 yr old and kid/work stress in general, so, we'll see.
