mom31257 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Good afternoon! I slept in today. I made breakfast, finished my grocery list, headed out to see a friend for just a bit, and then to the grocery store. I had a protein shake for lunch, and now I'm working on some school stuff. more school prep laundry (sheets and towels) watch more Shtisel play a game? 2 Quote
TheReader Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Hi Amy! So far, I have already: ....coffee'd ....grocery shopped ....re-texted my mom b/c the whole "we cleared everything up/agreed on everything" bit from yesterday didn't stick, so I had to deal with replying to her ....finished all of the K prep except getting science and craft supplies together ....printed 1st grade stuff, need to organize, file, etc. ....the pizza oven guy came and was unable to fix the oven today b/c rain, so is coming back tomorrow -- fingers crossed ...DH is helping DS with finding pics for the power point (showing him how to find/save pics, safely) After I finish the 1st grade stuff, I need to: ....DO LAUNDRY ....stay busy, b/c dh is in a weird mood and it's putting me in a funky mood, and that's not great ....help DS make the power point (show him how, etc.) ...figure out dinner ASAP so we can cook it (potato salad, b/c I think I said, we didn't have enough mayo, so it ended up as mashed potatoes; but something to go with....??) ....maybe encourage them to video game some more tonight and I can sew, or something, depending how weird everyone is still feeling mood-wise Also, they are asking what I want for mother's day, and while I've said things, each time I do, one of them says back "you want that?? will you use it? that's not a good present...." (sigh) so..... Maybe be done with all the things today in time for us to go to church tonight, in person; not sure if we'll be done with all the things or not. 2 Quote
SKL Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Hi, happy Saturday! Today I hope to both relax and catch up on some things that will make me feel more organized and together. 🙂 Done: Got up about 7 kuz of pup's vet appointment. (They need to weigh him before prescribing certain preventatives kuz he grows so fast.) Went to the vet with kid2 & pup. Kid2 to the barn. Walked pup around the farm a bit (his first visit). Back home, changed vax appointments and got ready for pup KG. Pup puked in the car on the way to KG. Spent a fair amount of time cleaning that up. Picked up Kid2, grabbed lunch & laundry detergent. A tiny bit of reading. Caught up on calendar, emails, news, social media, and checked the kids' grades. To do: Nap? Lots of client work, client filing. All the laundry. Catch up on church with the kids. Exercise. Personal filing & a long list of minor tasks. Will this be the day I complete my photo & calendar transfer from my old computer?? Movie with the kids (at home). Whatever else gets done. 3 Quote
TheReader Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 finished the 1st grade stuff, so all is done for school; thinking I'll come up with a Mother's Day craft idea, maybe, instead of trying to turn Stephen F. Austin into a craft DH/DS found more-or-less sufficient pictures for the project, now trying to figure out how to embed/edit video into it so he can showcase the calls 2 Quote
mom31257 Posted May 2, 2021 Author Posted May 2, 2021 @TheReader, I'm doing the Wow-Mom card on this list with my elementary geometry student since it's a perfect symmetry and reflection piece. I bought really nice paper flowers and some other stickers she can use to decorate it. https://www.weareteachers.com/mothers-day-crafts-for-kids/ I decided to go out to Hobby Lobby and look for decorating ideas and pick up craft items for my student I mentioned above. I went to a different grocery store to find a particular coffee creamer, and they carry it! It's my new favorite. We finished dinner and watched a few episodes of Modern Family. It's so funny! 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Hi y’all, How was your day? Mine was fine until a few minutes ago. I was having a calm, relaxing evening, reading my book and calendar planning until Dh came in here and began an intense parenting discussion. Ugh. All my people are night owls and I just want to be relaxed and asleep by 9:30. Done today: Grocery shopping (forgot coffee, garlic, and light bulbs) Vacuumed my car Took Dd to her friend’s for prom prep, then took all three girls to the dance. The pavilion was nicely decorated and the kids were having fun. Stressful driving across town in heavy traffic on the interstate. Picked up Ds’s friend and took them both to outdoor movie night at church. Dh is picking up. Just realized Dd didn’t scan and turn in her math test, so off to figure that out. 2 Quote
