purpleowl Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Finally Friday! These threads are for those who'd like accountability and encouragement in doing intentional daily movement. Anyone may join in at any time! 2 Quote
Jenny in Florida Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 I ran smack into an emotional minefield while packing a car load of stuff to take to the new house. I managed a second, very slow, trudging walk to make my minimum step count, but did no official leg/arm stuff yesterday. So, I guess that counts as my day off for the week. This morning, I walked 4.3K at a respectable, dog-is-with-me-and-wants-to-stop-and-investigate-things pace. Once home, I did my standing version of leg/arm stuff (then carried more stuff to the car). I am scheduled to spend the evening at the new house unpacking said stuff from the car and checking in on the progress of some projects. I may take the opportunity to do my first official evening walk around the new neighborhood (which we chose in part because it is so much more walker friendly). Junie Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I walked one mile and that will have to be enough for today. :) 2 Quote
sbgrace Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I did 30 minutes on my bike and arms/back focused strengthening today. It's hard here (in my home) right now. Getting the movement is helping me manage I think. 3 Quote
Jaybee Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Lots going on for people, it sounds like. Hugs to you all. I got my Friday 5K in. I was planning to go slower because it's Friday and I thought I was pretty much done. But to my surprise, I did faster than I ever have. It wiped me out pretty much, but in a nice way, and now I get the weekend to recover. I look forward to getting to the point where my body is stronger and energy increases overall. I'm getting better, but not quite there yet. I was also hoping to lose some weight, but that's not happened yet. Perseverance... 3 Quote
