I was referring generally to the fact that all those concessions to a parent who is so far down the path to termination ultimately hurt children. There are many, many children who are forced to continue in contact with people who tortured them and are unrepentant, both of which are unforgiveable in my book. Or to continue in contact with adults who are very seriously mentally ill and/or drug addicted. Dangerous. The courts grind through soooooo slowly, and they favor the comfort and convenience of the adults. It's terribly unfair. 6

The judge told her she would be on her own when she screamed at her lawyers and told them she was "firing' them. And yet, now, they are giving her another free lawyer. That is what is irritating the heck out of me. And, she is in contempt of court, but they are doing very little about it, other than to keep telling her to change what she did.

It is definitely a broken system. Thank God that baby has you Dawn. 4

I've been there, and I know how much it hurts as a foster parent to be in limbo. Trying to focus on other things would probably help...if you can.

I saw the same cycle over and over--very little actual accountability. I'm so sorry. 1
