They ask if you have symptoms of respiratory disease, fever, etc when you go (at least where I went) and would not vaccinate you if you did. Also, given that Covid testing is not super accurate, I'd not risk it unless there was no other way to get vaccinated later.

I'm not worried the person with a cold will be more ill by vaccinating, but that right now we are not able to accurately tell what is a cold and what is Covid, and so anyone with symptoms of respiratory illness is advised to stay home.

I have read and spoken with docs of differing opinions.  The best advice, the most sane and reasonable to me anyway, was to speak to your personal doc.  And if that doesn’t satisfy your concerns, and you are having symptoms of something definitely-not-Covid ... keep your appointment and speak to someone at the vaccine clinic and take their advice.

But it’s a moot point here, I’m not sure our vaccine clinic will give the shot to anyone with possible Covid symptoms.  A cold might fall under that umbrella, negative test or no.  I’d definitely call the vaccine center and ask before going, and let them reschedule if need be.
