Good morning!

I would appreciate prayers or good thoughts today. Today is the last co-op of the year and forever for me and ds. I started this co-op nine years ago, and directing it and teaching in it has been a significant part of my life outside of our home. I love these families and kids so much, and I think today is going to be a very hard day. Impactful changes in life are never easy, and good byes are the hardest.

  • breakfast, dinner (lunch at co-op)
  • ds drop me off and co-op and then go for an in-person interview
  • pack up the car and go to co-op
  • end of year party and recognize graduates
  • take ds to pediatrician for a couple of vaccines for college
  • unpack at home and start sorting through my co-op materials, cleaning them out
  • dinner might be out
  • relax, play a game, continue watching my new show, Shtisel

((Hugs, Amy)) I'm sure the end of co-op must be very emotional; praying for a good day today, and a goodbye that is satisfying, if that makes sense.

My day today is:
....coffee
....prep for the 4 yr old
....go teach the 4 yr old
.....make sure the D&D kids are all up on time today (they all stayed over, as the siblings leave, today, for their move out of state; the older sibling is driving one of the cars for the move) (prayers for that would be good, too.....lots of emotions for everyone on all sides of that)
....come home, DO SCHOOL
....finish prepping K/1st for Monday
....I think we have leftovers for dinner, maybe...??? If not, figure something out
....laundry
....anything else I'm forgetting

My prayers go out to each of you, Amy and The Reader!! I hope you both have a good day!

Today's plans will be working inside because it's supposed to rain all day. I have so much more to do in the flower bed, but it can't be helped. I was glad to visit family-they're much more important.

Today's plan:

Cook dinner-canned venison/potatoes and other veg.

More coffee and maybe a nap

Put away the luggage

Continue working on mail, shredding, one bedroom, and file cabinet

Possibly put the primer coat on one wall

Wipe down some cabinets

Google Classroom

Go to the thrift store

Groceries

Whatever else gets done

Oh Amy! Such a hard and wonderful thing to let go of!! ♥️

Drop off DD for speech class

Target run

Run by the consignment shop in hopes of good quality sandals for DS6.

Run home for lunch

Take DD for Lit

DS16 is spending the morning working with friends. Ideally, this would become a regular thing so fingers crossed. He needs the constant hard physical exertion. I have a two year supply of firewood, new garden beds, and 30 yards of mulch laid so far this year... We’re running out of hard projects at our house.

Pizza tonight?

Howdy, happy Friday!  How many people actually love Fridays?  It seems I am always of two minds about this.  The week flies by so fast and I am always behind when Friday rolls around.  And I hate to end the week behind, even though I should be used to it by now.  😕

On the positive side, Q3 report cards finally came out, and both kids made honor roll without the honors bump, which means Kid2's horse lease will be extended for now.  Kid1 has improved so much, I'm so pleased, and I wish it wasn't crass to brag on fb about it.  😛  She got "highest honors" again, and her honors biology teacher noted "outstanding" critical thinking skills and work quality.  For those who know of her challenges, this is something.  Since she wants to be a veterinarian, it will be great news to her, I think.  🙂

Done:

  • Algebra help in the wee hours.
  • Slept enough because school started late today.
  • Pup duty.
  • Kids showered, ready, and driven to school, with sports stuff for after school meet.  Yay!
  • Dropped off poo sample at the vet, yay!
  • Caught up on calendar, emails, news, social media, and checked the kids' grades.
  • Coffee 1.

To do:

  • More coffee.
  • Lots of client work.
  • Pup duty until about 12:30.
  • Make and confirm appts.
  • Contact 2 pup trainers and decide what to do about training.
  • Amazon order.
  • Amazon return.
  • Kid driving - Kid1 track meet, Kid2 horse riding.
  • Whatever I'm forgetting??

Home from working with the 4 yr old

The kids/friends are all gone.....waaah! They took a group selfie before they left. Gosh, I'm going to miss those kids! (and their parents/our friends)

Need to send a few emails, and then take a nap before tackling the rest of the list.

Reader, I'm sorry your crew had goodbyes today, too!  Praying for their safety in the move and for your sad hearts!

SKL, congratulations! And feel free to brag here as much as you want! It feels good to see our kids be successful, and it is definitely something to celebrate.

Today went very well! Thanks for the prayers and well wishes! I did tear up a few times, but I'm thankful it has meant so much to us through the years.

Ds went for his interview (2nd of 3), and they went ahead and had him do the third interview right then and hired him on the spot.

Oh, Amy, Yay!!!! Congrats to your DS!!

And yes, SKL, congrats to your DD as well - that's a big accomplishment, especially for a kid who has struggled in the past! Way to go! all that prodding has paid off!

And thank you, all of you, for the kind thoughts; the kids seem to all be doing okay. I had a little cry in the car on the way to teach the 4 yr old, but we've done this enough that I know it will be okay. Thankfully technology today is not what it was 10 yrs ago, so the kids will I'm sure stay in touch.

As for my day, I have managed:

....a nap
....got 20 yr old through half of the studying, and all parties agreed better to spend the time studying today/tomorrow and take the test tomorrow vs. try to rush, fail, and drop if he takes it by today's drop deadline (if he studies and tests tomorrow, he ought to do well enough to not need to drop)
...DH took over school with DS so I could help the 20 yr old study (and fixed me a snack of bread & olive oil dipping sauce, to apologize for kind of stress-yelling about studying for the test)
...now I need to write/send some emails that I never did earlier and figure out what's the deal for dinner
