Good morning!

Today, I have:

....coffee
....prep for 2nd grade tomorrow
....school with DS

....make the borders for the next quilt, and put them on
....do some laundry
.....figure out something for dinner
.....maybe also get the quilt basted/ready to quilt
.....maybe even start quilting....???
.....call Disney and figure out about our expired, unused tickets, if we can apply the price to new tickets *over the phone* so we can go this summer
....figure out/decide if we are or aren't going to Family Camp weekend at camp of one of my student's; call and reserve that in hopes of getting one of the cabins vs. having to tent camp while there
....decide if we are going to try and protest our home value w/the tax entity or not this year (we've not been successful in last years, but it just keeps going up, up, up, up, up.....)
....check on the garden, harvest any strawberries, tomatoes, or broccoli that are ready (or pick flowers off the broccoli)
....cook dinner, eat dinner, watch TV -- we have pivoted over to Doctor Who in hopes of finding *something* we can watch as a family, that will last a while
....figure out pizza party schedules/weekends/dates for the various people we need to have for pizza in the near future (mainly, decide if I can have my kids over for pizza instead of a party at school.....)
....any other random thing I'm missing

Have a good day!

Good morning!! Today I have had some coffee, ate some toast, and washed a load of clothes. Plans for today include:

Pack for trip to visit family-done, I think

Continue weeding/working in flower garden-have to keep coming inside to rest

Take pictures to show my parents and sister-done

Take a picture of the black hose Dh installed in the flower bed as a downspout so my sister can help me brainstorm how to hide it-done

More coffee-done

Finish the laundry-done

Work in bedroom-done and I found my tray decorations that have been missing since after Christmas

Work on file cabinet stuff-didn't get finished yesterday

Clean the floors-almost done, can't do the room dh is sleeping in until he gets up

Make cornbread to go with the beans I made last night-done

Google Classroom

Grade some papers-done

If I get all this done before I leave, there's more. I'm trying not to waste any time on Spring Break.

Howdy, happy Tuesday!

The kids got to school early today, for a change!  Yay!  Here's hoping it's a first of many.

Done:

  • Kids ready & driven to school.
  • Pup duty.
  • Sent out one kinda big report so far.
  • Long "discussion" about stupid stuff because some people just don't know when to shut up.
  • Caught up on emails, calendar, news, and social media.
  • Working on coffee 3?

To do:

  • Lots of client work.
  • See if I can find a way to view the kids' grades (I keep getting "error" - is it my browser or their issue?)
  • A few more hours of pup duty.
  • Prepare Amazon returns and take to UPS Store.
  • Check track schedule online; probably need to skip or reschedule trumpet lessons for track conflicts ....  Ugh....
  • Afternoon driving for the kids, chasing them re homework, etc.
  • Pay bills, some organizing.
  • A little reading and exercise.
  • Whatever I'm forgetting.

Good morning! I’ve taken Ds to school, Dd to her tutorial, dropped off tutorial registration forms, and made a quick trip to the super Walmart. Also scheduled upholstelry cleaners for mom’s chair. At the laundromat now, waiting for mom’s comforter to be done.

To do:

Take a carload of furnishings and some forms to mom’s new place. ✔️

Make soup.

Log tutoring sessions from yesterday.

Lesson prep ✔️ and tutor one student online. ✔️

Figure out with Dh who is doing what driving this afternoon. ✔️

Not sure what else...

Reading tonight, for sure.

Have found all the things to do for 2nd grade, but have not gone through yet and picked what specific pages to use, but am *tired.* I'm having one of my 1st grade kids come and visit 2nd grade, so tailoring things to him as well (and he is one that struggles with handwriting). Not tweaking down the whole thing, but just making sure I have activities for him that go along.

But I've spent 3 hours now gathering things, finding resources online, etc.

Going to eat a little more lunch (made this soup last night for dinner, and holy cow it is so so so so good) and then nap.

Did school with DS

Printed ALL of the things for 2nd grade --- I still have to assemble, pack, etc, but as the printing alone took over an hour (perhaps I went slightly overboard, LOL) (I found a detailed WWII coloring book.....I promise I did not print all 128 pages of it......but I did print probably way too many of the pages......)(but it's so cool!!) -- anyway, it took over an hour, so I wanted to come get credit for printing. then I'll come back when I get it all sorted. LOL!

Decided on a dinner plan (tacos, b/c, Taco Tuesday)

Boy, was I optimistic today! LOL!!!!

But, school is prepped & ready for tomorrow, DS is done with school, I have a cool craft planned for tomorrow (2 of them) for science, that are actually learning things too, and I think we're going to end up picking up food instead of cooking tonight.

And I did talk with DH about the pizza party idea, so that's progress. And texted/talked with a friend about a thing on Thursday, so that's good.

Quilting can wait. (and we have a month still on the tax protest thing) (and at least that on figuring out Disney) so even though I didn't do nearly all my list, at all, at least the "today" things got done.

I updated my website for the classes I will offer next year online and posted it in the local homeschool Facebook groups.

Ds had his phone interview and has an in-person interview Friday morning.

I still need to prep some for tomorrow and Friday.

At flag football practice with Ds. Hooray for two hrs of outside exercise with 15 other boys!

Called Xfinity to get mom’s phone snafu fixed. Super helpful customer service person.

Dh got dinner out for us from a small, local place.

Resolved a tutoring schedule issue for next week.

Dh says he wants to come camping with me in NC in June. I am both disappointed and pleased. I was looking forward to the alone time. But I am glad that he wants to hang out together.

We haven’t had more than one night at a time without kids in 16 years since Dd was born, and those very rare. We will have 15 days and nights with no kids (3 weeks M-F) this summer. This trip will be 5 of that 15.

Making a campground reservation tomorrow.
