mom31257 Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Good morning! I fell asleep on the couch last evening sort of early, so I woke up at 2 and couldn't go back to sleep for 2 hours. Done: breakfast called about retest for RMSF (to get it scheduled) called ds' college about the grant we were given and it turns out to be for all four years!!! Woohoo! To Do: get insurance on new car groceries make lunch for neighbor who has covid finish working on list of all to accomplish this week lesson plans for one student who I may teach this afternoon work on cleaning out books for used book sale 5 Quote
BlsdMama Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Amy - you're going to need to add a nap to that list! Coffee Bible Today is GORGEOUS! Almost 80, expecting rain tomorrow, it's the perfect time to plant things. ❤️ My hubby may or may not have put up a fence around my patio because it would make a pretty backdrop to a magnolia tree. I need to be more careful in my suggestions of, "Oooh, that would be pretty..." Thus - LANDSCAPING today! And because I tend to thoroughly use/abuse DS16 😉 I have to take him fishing this afternoon. Walleye spawning time! Birding/Trail -DD11 has to go birding 7 times for a badge, so we're going on a trail today. First time with the wheelchair - pretty excited to resume my "real" life for a spring/summer. (The real life thing is a head nod to a CS Lewis quote) Supper - leftovers outside on the picnic table Have a WONDERFUL Spring Tuesday!! (Can you tell what my favorite season is?!) I am going to try to convince myself school really can't wait until July..... 5 Quote
TheReader Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 It's so good to hear you so happy, Kelly!!! Enjoy the springtime! Amy, I hope you do get a nap, too! I am post-vaccine today (2nd dose yesterday evening) -- my arm is sore again, and this time I don't feel *bad* but neither do I feel *good.* Kind of headachy, blah, yuck. Staying in pajamas, so that if I need to rest, I can. Between resting, I need to: ....get everything ready for 2nd grade tomorrow ....do school with DS/make sure he does it ....maybe work on laundry (sheets) if possible Anything else is extra, just in case. 5 Quote
TravelingChris Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I was so very happy to go to the hockey game. Even before having this new dimension of disability. I have avoided going yo a hockey game or anything else in that arena for about 4 years because of the steep stairs oft en without railing. I was wound clinic and saw the doctor and he told t yes- it probably will be at least 14 months to heal. Then we went to eye place nearby and I am so happy I got my new glasses. I can actually see Speech club therapy online To do Hang up and put away spring and summer clothing Help dd2 online w car search Plan dinner Taxes Lupus group online 4 Quote
mom31257 Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 (edited) Kelly, have fun fishing! Scout, I hope you feel better soon! Christina, I'm so sorry it could take that long to heal, but I'm glad you got to the game! I hear you guys on the nap, but I don't think it will happen today. I got a good amount of sleep overall, but it wasn't great quality sleep. It's a gorgeous day here, too! I got the insurance and went to the bank and the grocery store. I made lunch, and dh took some next door. I watched the first episode of The English Game while eating mine. I'm going to do a Zoom class in just a bit. Edited April 6, 2021 by mom31257 4 Quote
SKL Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Hey you guys ... I am ALONE IN THE HOUSE (not counting pup who is hopefully asleep). It's been over a year! Why don't I feel more free? I'm hot, I have work guilt, and I have to be quiet/still or I'll be back on pup duty in no time. Should I try sneaking a nap? I've done a lot of napping lately. .... My kids are at Disney, and my housemates are at an appointment out of the house for several hours (I think). Yay! That's about all I have to report. My day is pretty boring. Pup duty, eating bad stuff (Easter goodies), trying to get focused on work, thinking about other things I ought to do. 4 1 Quote
TheReader Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Between naps, I've managed to get all the stuff ready to print for 2nd grade, and feel good about tomorrow. While I'm still awake and feeling okay, I'm heading up to do school with DS. Each time I wake up, I feel a little better than the time before, so that's good. I'm 20 mins away from my next dose of tylenol..... 4 Quote
ScoutTN Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Never made it here this morning. Busy day, mostly done. Waiting at the orthodontist while ds has his appt. Enjoying the perfect weather! Tutor one student online and log today’s and yesterday’s sessions. Figure out dinner. We have leftovers, but not sure anyone will actually eat them. Think out tomorrow before I go to bed. mom31257 Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 Reader, I'm sorry I thought it was Scout who had posted earlier today not feeling well from the vaccine. I'll blame it on still getting used to my new bifocal glasses, which aren't great for the computer. Hope you improve and feel great tomorrow! They called with my blood draw order, so I went to do that. Our insurance agent said we have to cancel our tag on the totaled car, so I went to the tag office and took care of that. Dropped off books at the library and picked up a couple possibilities for my language arts class at co-op. We are going to see dd tomorrow, so tonight is going to be tidy the house and do some laundry. 4 Quote
ScoutTN Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Quiet house with the windows open. Lovely. I have my tea and a good book and am content. 2 Quote
BlsdMama Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 We got a lot done yesterday on the landscaping front. Did you know there is a CRAZY cost difference if your rocks come from the Cedar River vs. the Mississippi River? And did you know that you will need 2 TON of rock to fill a relatively small space? Yeah... me either. DS caught a pretty little walleye that was technically a keeper but we talked him into throwing back because it was quite young. He's speaking to us - a good sign. ❤️ 1 Quote

It's okay!!! ❤️ If you knew how many times I've written someone's name, scrolled back up to make sure I was right, came down, fixed it, scrolled back up to double check.......(ahem).....well, let's just say, mixing me up with someone else is not ever a thing I'll be mad about, ever, LOL! 1 Quote
