klmama Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 While we still had up the outdoor Christmas ornaments, we had nuthatches and house finches visiting the plum tree by our window every day; they'd come several times a day to hang out together, chirping and nibbling the branches. The day I took down the ornaments, they stopped coming. I'd like to put up some new sparkly things to attract them again -- nothing gaudy, just... sparkly. Any suggestions? Quote
Tanaqui Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Klmama, sparkly things are the gateway drug to birdfeeders. Are you sure you want to go down this path? It just gets more hardcore from there. 7 Quote
Arcadia Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 My red color plastic bird feeder attracts lots of birds and I live on a higher floor in a condo complex. Our previous natural wood bird feeder didn’t attract any. 1 Quote

mom31257 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 We hung this feeder from a shepherd's hook near our patio. It has attracted a lot of birds: finches, sparrows, chickadees, and cardinals. Mourning doves are too big to get on the posts, but they eat from the ground. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wild-Wings-Wide-Deluxe-Easy-Clean-Metal-Wild-Bird-Tube-Feeder-WWWMRS-2/302862733 1 Quote

I just want something attractive and sparkly, so that every so often some cute little birds will stop by and hop around on my tree. 1 Quote
